That's rich. Your double standard is laughably apparent when it comes to Pac and Canelo. Before Canelo was relevant, and still to this day, you have nitpicked Pacquiao's resume to oblivion. You turn a blind eye to similar criticism for Canelo and pathetically defend him at every turn. And I'm far from a Canelo hater, you are not gonna pull that BS on me.
You can claim what you want, but it's all q bunch of bs until you show what double standard you're speaking of. Instead of telling me how I am and what I do, stick to the subject and show me what about my original response to you was inaccurate
I'd be much more impressed if Pacquiao wraps weren't loaded. The way Pacquiao's was allowed to wrap caused the fracture on Margarito's orbital bone and left that eye partially blind, essentially ending Margarito's career is a top fighter.
I don't think I've heard this argument before : that it was Pacquiao who was the hand wrap cheater and Margarito who was the victim of illegal hand wraps instead of the perpetrator.
Now how did you come to THAT conclusion. I would dearly love to know pls @divac Other than a fractured orbital bone, we would all love to know how you came up with that theory.
You must have missed all the prefight shenanigans between Freddie Roach and the Commision against Robert Garcia who was protesting Pacquiao allowed to wrap his handwraps in stacking form using tape, gauze, tape, gauze again...……. Freddie Roach made up an accusation that Margarito had drank something illegal in his dressing room to detract from the real story that Pacquiao was allowed to illegally wrap his hands. This is common knowledge but most people here don't really care that Pacquiao cheated because of their disdain for Margarito.
When PAC the GOAT talks, you just have to listen. And you know what, I believe him. Margarito that he fought that night. Destroys every 147lb pounder today and 154lber. It came as no suprise that Mayweather never wanted that smoke.
That's interesting, were these pre-fight shenanigans seen on the HBO telecast? I'd like to see to videos of this incident before the fight or the trainers talking about it after the fight, something to verify your story.
Mayweather is obviously not Pacquiao's toughest fight. Pac might have lost, but against Floyd, he was 'boxing'. Against Marquez, Margarito and Cotto, he was 'fighting'.
The Pacquiao fight was Margarito's first fight back from the one year suspension for supposedly hiding brick in his handwraps before the Mosley fight. Since it was a PPV event, HBO cameras were constantly in Margarito's dressing room observing his every move and especially his handwrapping. I believe Robert Garcia wrapped Margarito's hands that night and if I'm not mistaken it got back to Garcia that the person he appointed to observe Pacquiao wrap objected to how Pacquiao wrapped his hands but the official said it was legal. Garcia then protested to the commission and demanded that Pacquiao re-wrap his hands. HBO was going back and forth to and from Pacquiao and Margarito's dressing rooms. When Garcia was protesting, the HBO broadcast team showed a partial replay of Pacquiao wrapping his hands and sure enough he had applied tape, gauze, tape, and then gauze again. As well he had rolled up pieces of tape and placed them each between his knuckles creating a high ridge on wraps each between his knuckles. The next morning here on this very forum there were several threads related to the topic, I'm not sure if they still exist but it was talked about extensively in this forum with a lot of members agreeing that Pacquiao had "stacked his handwraps." So yes, HBO did have footage of Pacquiao's handwrapping procedure.
OK...When Pac did that it's illegal. But when Clenelo does it it's all right. When Clenelo fights 36 year old he is fighting the best. When Ptac did that he is fighting shot fighters. When Clenelo gets busted for drugs he is not guilty. Pac never tested positive he is guilty. The double standard is ridiculous.
Two things before we can compare this to Sanchez objections to Canelo's handwraps. Were the rules regarding hand wraps different in Texas where Pac Margarito took place than they were in Las Vegas where Canelo GGG took place? Also divac indicated that Pac "had rolled up pieces of tape and placed them each between his knuckles creating a high ridge on wraps each between his knuckles". I don't believe that Sanchez ever accused Canelo of having a high ridge between his knuckles due to how they were wrapped.
