Just been trawling through Carl Thompson’s career on YouTube. What an absolute warrior he was. His mental fortitude and heart are cast out of gold. Some of his comebacks were legendary. One of my favourite fighters of recent generations.
Amen to all the, I was a massive fan of his. Not the most gifted but fit as a fiddle, never in a bad fight and what a puncher. Doesn't sound like a bad way to spend a day in lockdown, that's an idea...
I went and done a couple of 121 boxing sessions with him a year or so back Guy was in unreal shape even though he's in his 50s, just shredded and muscular And yeah, I can confirm what everyone else says about him. He's a very nice man. You're right about his fights too, some absolute crackers
I literally watched 4 of his fights on the spin few days back. Always in great fights proper throwback warrior.
Will check him out obvious stand outs are the Haye and Eubank fights but I will delve a little deeper. Thanks for the heads up
Last time I saw Terry Dunstan was facing the Sky in Hamburg when he was brutally KOd by Olafobi on the famous Toe v Wlad undercard.
You'll get no argument from me on Carl Thompson. Absolutely made the most of his talent and was in a succession of terrific fights. Also conducted himself superbly, no cheap chat or nonsense. As Somali has already mentioned, he frightened Hamed's vacuous trap shut. That makes him a Hall of Famer on my book.
