There's nothing obvious about this at all. Rodriguez is exactly what Hagler struggled with, an older Luis beat a better Briscoe with less trouble than Hagler did.
It’s a tough fight but I fancy that Hagler can at least match Rodriguez’ jab and he’s stronger plus he may be able to slow down his activity by the middle rounds. The size edge gives Hagler a decided edge. Hagler by decision around 9-6 in rounds. Two of my favorites. Love both fighters. Rodriguez doesn’t seem to get credit for how good he performed at middleweight.
It's a style that Hagler didn't like, that's for sure. I think eventually Hagler's size and strength win out, but this no early night for him.
