Fat shaming Dan Rafael?? ohhh how original!! kind of a cheap shot if u ask me. Thankfully for Dan, he's got a big name, and he will do just fine without espn, especially in these days, where everyone can make a channel on youtube. he can dominate if he wants.
I'm not a fan but I don't like celebrating when a guy loses a job he clearly loved. Could it be a blessing in disguise? At the moment the last thing he needs is to be trying to find stories. I've no interest in fat shaming the guy but Coronavirus has upped the stakes. Obesity is never a healthy option but every report I've seen and conversation I've had says that it's a major factor in mortality rates for Covid-19. Dan needs to isolate effectively, not easy for a working journalist, he also obviously needs to shift some of that weight. Maybe losing the ESPN gig can be a spur to a lifestyle change. I hope he stays safe, finds a way to keep working safely and when he writes about boxing maybe he can be more objective if he doesn't have paymasters and industry sources to please.
I think Dwyer could take Rafael under his wing and offer him a job at his Youtube channel. That would be a nice gesture.
yeah he’s very at risk cause of him being a massive lard arse, but I never thought his job would be at risk tbf.
Not too mention his obsessive criticism of David Haye’s toe injury (which Haye brought on himself) Most people let the toe stuff go after a few months of Haye being a bit of a laughing stock. But Dan couldn’t mention Haye without criticising Haye through a terrible toe pun. And then when he sees Haye in person he asks for a selfie. Typical online troll behaviour. The fact that Dan also criticised certain boxers for their weight and conditioning was majorly hypocritical. I don’t want anyone to lose their job so I feel for him in that regard.... but let’s be honest Dan was a bit of a nob who burnt bridges.
his best work was finishing the bottomless bucket of chicken wings nobody had ever finished one bucket in under 10 minutes, fat dan finished 4 of them.

He will be fine. I saw him earlier and he was out social distance shopping, in that he was shopping, but not for social distancing. If you are reading this sentence you are a big smelly turd bummer lol.
I don't think people don't like him because he's fat. They don't like him because he's a paper skinned shill who's terrible at scoring fights.
I liked Dan Rafael and am sad to see him go. I agreed with many of his scorecards (Save the Wilder Fury 1) but I think that has more to do with espn shilling for Wilder. His Friday chats were great and were one of the last forums to be able to engage and express opinion. Espn is garbage - they tell you the narrative they want to tell you and you can’t even comment anymore with the nonsense they put out.
