Boxing match, maybe 2011. One boxer broken jaw, other broken ribs..who were they? Help me?

On that basis, I have ruled out any Audley Harrison fights.

The only broken jaw I remember is the Ricky Burns v Beltran fight but that was in Glasgow.

That was a cracking fight and no idea how Burns made it to the final bell nor how the fight was scored a draw.

 

Yeah I watched it Jurgen. Pretty sure it was either the 2nd or 4th round Burns got his jaw broken.

Beltran won the fight by at least 3 - 4 rounds and I was a massive Burns fan.

What heart Ricky showed. He is in the same category as Carl Froch regarding his heart and chin.

 

Random fights I found with certain Google parameters. Couple of broken jaws and a body shot stoppage around that time.

I also tried using Twitter's "until:" function with "jaw" "ribs" and other combos. Odds are if it was a random undercard bout, you'll need somebody who remembers it off the top.

 

John Murray v Kevin Mitchell??

 

I dont remember either of them receiving broken ribs or a broken jaw, altho If it was that fight you can bet it was Mitchell with the broken ribs and Murray with the broken jaw.
That was another British classic tbf. I remember Mitchell stopping Murray in the 8th with a lead hook.
Put kev back on the map after his bad defeat to kasidis.

 

Just remembered it was 2011. Was a great fight.

 

I can’t remember this fight either. Thinking about exciting tear ups around that time made me think of Cello Renda vs Paul Samuels though.

Wasn’t a british fight but another that came to mind was Abraham vs Miranda.

 

Man, I really want to see this fight.

Yea that was one of my fav British fights too.
I was thrown a bit cos I was looking for 2 British fighters. Katsidis is an ozzy.
Altho I don't remember either of them getting broken ribs or jaw the towel came in from Earls corner and was duly thrown out by Micky Vann.
If it wasn't these two the TS should go back and watch it anyway. What a fight.

 

Enzo Mac v Shane McPhilbin was also a cracking fight with the latter being ripped off when Enzo went down heavily in the first round and the cheating fookers rung the bell 1 minute early.
