Mosley without juice and with same day weigh-ins could and perhaps would be an entirely different fighter. Even still, I’d take Ross to beat him. Mosley wasn’t that adaptable or smart and it’s unlikely he could overwhelm Ross. Ross would find his rhythm, time Mosley and beat him convincingly.
Ross had one of the greatest chins in boxing history - never stopped or knocked down. No way is Mosley stopping him.
ross was a great fighter, but he fought in the 30´s. they still used the classic style back then, a style that wouldnt work in the modern era. so that puts him at a disadvantage Right there. add the fact that Mosley was bigger, faster and hit harder………..and it s a tall order for ross. barney had a great chin and lots of Courage, so he probably lasts the distance. but he´ll get hammered, no Question.
This is at 140? I always felt at 140 Mosely was a very special fighter; not that Ross isn't, but Mosely was much faster and usually speed kills. I''l take Shane by wide UD.
Barney went 81 fights and never KOed. His fight against Hank Armstrong (101KOs) should prove that Mosley doesn’t have the power to put Ross out. Ross is a cute fighter first but will bang with you. Mosley is fast and hits very hard. I feel the fight is goes at a measured pace because Ross is a jab, slip and roll fighter. Mosley will look for quick shots and look for openings for heavy hooks and straights. Barney has great defense so he will slip most of these but, he does get hit, because he will throw punches with his opponent. I see the fight going to decision that could go either way. Barney landing more and making Mosley miss and Mosley landing the harder more telling shots.
