Forgot about Barrera-McKinney. Great call. If I'm not mistaken that brawl kicked off the very first HBO Boxing After Dark in 1996.

-'Limit it to 10 fights'. No, Ra's Al-Ghul plays by his own rules
-'Put them in order'. No, Ra's Al-Ghul plays by his own rules
-'Explain your top 3'. No, Ra's Al-Ghul plays by his own...

You're such a maverick. Thanks anyway!

#1 Leonard vs Hearns ; two of the top 5 welters in history, in their primes.
#2 Leonard vs Duran two of the top 10-25 fighters in history, in their primes,a fight that showed both men were warriors.
#3 Pryor vs Arguello two of the top 20-40 fighters in history, the fastest paced fight in history that went 14 rds .
#4 Ali vs Frazier 1 Only the greatest heavy fight in history between two ATG's in or close to the primes of their careers. Also the fight that showed Ali was a WARRIOR. and he would prove that a number of times after this fight and his unique skills began to erode.
#5 Leonard vs Benitez if one wants to know what boxing USED to look like. This is the fight. Counters, counter counters, movement ( But no running, THEIRS a big difference) a jabbing clinic, defensive acumen between two atg's
#6 Ali vs Foreman the 2nd fight everyone thought Ali would literally be killed. The atmosphere was electric, Crowd chanting" Ali boma ye" in a middle of Zaire ( Back in the day fighters took world champ and fought almost any were in the WORLD) A fight that changed history . Think about this, other than Larry Holmes, who beats a confident Foreman for at least 10yrs.
And a monsoon happened right after the fight completed that possibly stops the fight..... Talk about a Hollywood ending.
#7 Duran vs Moore, we all should've known Moore didn't have a chance against Duran, he had that look..........
#7a Duran vs Barkley. Duran had THAT look again.... The much bigger, much stronger and younger, Barkley was thought he would destroy Duran. But skills, especially ATG skills made a major difference. A fight every "size kings" on this site should be forced to watch...
#8 Hearns vs Benitez, again a fight for the purists and defense lovers.
#9 Whitaker vs Ramirez 1 and 2, Whitaker actually beat Ramirez twice, but his skills demonstrated against a tough as nails Ramirez is something to watch.
#10 Ali vs Frazier # 3 Manila, on the other side of the world, two ageing fighters that clearly were beyond their primes. But this fight is the ultimate example of the WILL of both men, neither would give an inch, both would've died before quitting. Only the compassion of Eddie Futch ( probably the only man that did the RIGHT thing) saved the fighters from further punishment. Both men would never be the same.

If Matthew Saad Muhammad fought Marvin Johnson 10 times, that would be the entire list. And rightfully so.
