Any examples where someone got their ass whooped all around the ring and had ANOTHER rematch?

    Can't think of any

One that sort of comes to mind is R Williams vs S Martinez
Maybe not so one sided by any means but W Klitschko/Brewster

Yes one that comes to mind C Ashley beat T Booth by first round KO but they had a rematch less than 2 years later

None of those were immediate rematches though

Cant think of one off the top of my head that matches

Meh AJ won rounds and got a knockdown before he let his glass head get slapped by a fatman

That’s why Wilder Fury 3 is so absurd and shows the division has no talented fighters. They have to recycle Wilders bum ass because just because a certain group of American boxing fans will still buy it

    Got an hour? Langford-Wills. Vazquez-Marquez. Louis-Schmeling. Zale-Graziano. Patterson-Johansson. Vaseline Legs-Brewster. Lewis-Rahman. Joshua-Ruiz. Carbajal-Gonzales. Too many to mention.

You have said two different things, one of which is true, one of which is false, and both of which miss the point.

    1) The division is stacked. There are all kinds of good fighters, and about fifteen good amateur prospects at various staged of development.

    2) You are right that almost none of them are AMERICAN.

    3) It all misses the point because there was an automatic rematch clause agreed to by the fighters, so it shows nothing. The promoters do NOT want this. They didn't make any money off the last one.

    Answer to the question:

    PATTERSON-JOHANSSON
    PATTERSON-LISTON
    LISTON-ALI
    DEMPSEY-FLYNN
    SCHMELING-LOUIS
KLITSCKHO-BREWSTER (not one-sided, but the conclusion!)
    CORBETT-JEFFERIES (not one-sided)
    FITZSIMMONS-JEFFERIES (not one-sided)
LEWIS-RAHMAN (won't say McCall because it was bull****)
    PARET-GRIFFITH
CHAVEZ-TAYLOR (I know Taylor was ahead, but he suffered multiple injuries)
GRAZIANO-ZALE (not one-sided, but Graziano got busted up)

Off the top of my head.

I think the thread is asking for one sided fights where a rematch then occurred.
Most if not all of the examples given don't meet that criteria.

It's the combination of the first two fights that makes it worse than usual. The first fight with Fury at 60% was a very fortunate draw for Wilder where it was obvious who's the superior fighter. The second fight confirmed it.. very conclusively. In the trilogy all Wilder can hope for is throwing the Hail Mary of all Hail Marys.

If we're talking instant rematches straight after a one-sided whooping, then what about Mosley against Forrest? Mosley got absolutely tanned in that first fight - to this day, I'm amazed that he went the distance.
