If Judge Roth scored this round 12 for Oscar, the fight would have been a draw. Only Roth had it for Floyd while the other two judges score this round to ODLH How do you score this? This content is protected
Scored it for Floyd. Counter punched very well and his jab was effective in the 12th. Straight rights toward end of round puncuated the round for him. No knock on Oscar, I scored it 115-113 Floyd, but Oscar had a great fight.
Bizarre the way Oscar abandoned his jab in this fight. He could have won this fight. Strange, strange brew.
Floyd controlled last round, scored more clean shots, he took Oscar's flurries on his body with a laugh and didn't lose composure. Only clean shot Oscar landed was 2 seconds before the bell
Anyone who scored the 12th for Dela Hoya needs to a trip to the opticians ! Floyd easy wins that round.
Don't matter how you scored the 12th... It was Floyd Mayweather aka PBF who won the fight. Furthermore, Mayweather won the 12 round. ODLH doesn't get to "win" the fight because he won 2 or 3 rounds, or because he tried a but more in the last minute. There never was a blueprint known to man when Mayweather was around for 20 some odd years.
Mayweather. Landed cleaner more effective shots. Oscar was ineffective with his flurries and looks really desperate to win
Floyd won that round IMO. There were a lot of sharp counters from him in that round despite all the flailing Oscar did that wasn't doing much. Oscar tagged him pretty hard in the final 3 seconds. In no way did he win the round IMO though. EDIT: Had that been prime Oscar, Floyd loses that fight IMO
Close round. Floyd threw some flashy punches that either missed completely or barely landed. He's really too cautious to engage. So if the criteria is clean effective punching, you could argue that the punches Oscar landed were cleaner and more effective. Most of Oscar punches were body shots. Body shots are often over looked by judges. It's one of those rounds where you can't really complain about scoring for one fighter or the other. I'd give it to Oscar, but If someone gives to Floyd, I get why.
Floyd scored with the better shots and won the first two minutes of the round. Oscar was coming forward and did a little better in the final minute, but didn't land too many clean blows in the round. Poor finish to the bout from Oscar. Floyd's round imo.
cleaner more effective ? He landed two shots up until the final 40 seconds then landed a handful more after hitting gloves and air for the first 2 minutes of the round! Floyd comfortably won the 12th
