    What is it?

    Some contenders:

    Ali-Foreman round 8

    Holmes-Norton Round 15
    Ali-Frazier I round 15
    Foreman-Moorer round 12

The what-could-of-been round 15 of Thrilla in Manila?

All of the above mentioned rounds are tremendous picks. Either of them would be correct. So tonight I lean towards this...

I pick Holmes-Norton Round 15. The fight was up in the air and both fought like the 1st round of Hagler-Hearns, even after 14 rounds of fury. Back and forth brawling for 3 minutes non-stop in the final round which was up for grabs! Sensational finish as the scorecards got it right.

    Some other contenders could be:
    Bowe-Holyfield Round 10
Moorer-Cooper Round 2 (or whatever round has the 3 knockdowns)
    Bowe-Tillery Round 1

Ali-Foreman round 1 was amazing. Ali went after him and staggered him slightly with powerful fast leads. George caught him with power body shots. The pace was insane. Very underrated round.

Round 15, Ernie Terrell vs Eddie Machen, March 5 1965, WBA Heavyweight Title, Terrell was staggered by Machen. Oliver McCall vs Frank Bruno, Round 12, Bruno hanging on.

    Round 12 of Thrilla?
    Round 6 of Marciano/Moore?

Lyle/Foreman, Rd. 4 and Ingo/Patterson 3, Rd. 1 are probably the best picks.

Oh, can't forget Dempsey/Firpo round 1. Although I don't find it entertaining in the slightest.

Frazier-Quarry I round 1 is my favorite too. Actually like all your choices plus I’d add Holyfield-Bowe I round 10 and Holmes-Norton last round to my personal list.

Another vote for Holyfield/Bowe 1, Round 10; that cemented me as a Holyfield fan

Ali/Foreman, Round 5 - after laying on the ropes and getting pummeled, with 30 seconds to go, Ali goes after Foreman and exchanges with him; I think Foreman was a bit shocked, at this point most fighters in that situation were looking to just survive. Muhammad tattooed him with several right hands and let George know he was still very much in the fight. Legend has it, at the end of the round Ali said to Foreman, "Now it's MY turn!"

Man, you sparked a great memory for me, Steve. When I watched that live on closed circuit, my Dad and I were jumping out of our skins in that 5th round. I don't think there could have been anyone in the arena who could not see what Ali was doing in tuckering Foreman out by the end of the 5th. Except the Foreman corner, of course.

Yes, the ending of round 5 is one of the best highlights of the fight
