Sanchez either late stoppage or UD with something like 10-5 on the cards.

McGuigan is outta his depth against Sanchez.

Sal takes him apart and stops him circa 11-13.

Not only that, but it's a hopeless style for him too.

Lol. He beat Eusebio Pedroza on June 8 1985.

    Could have been worse.

Could have been Arguello vs Mcguigan

I think the best of McGuigan was a superb and overlooked fighter. He was immense against LaPorte and Pedroza, not to mention how he impressively broke down.l a stylistic nightmare in Taylor. Having said that, it’s hard to pick a guy over Sanchez when that opponents only shot is to take the fight to Sal. That was his bread and butter.

I can see McGuigan competitive early but then Sanchez taking over by the middle and winning handily.

Little Red against McGuigan is probably the most fun mythical match at 126 from that generation.

Sanchez. But Barry goes the distance. Power aside I thought Barry was also a damn good ring technician with a very good ring IQ. He gets completely undersold

Did we even see a prime Salvador Sanchez? He died when he was 23. Of course, what we did see was him beating several ATGs and looking almost bored while doing it. Scary to think he could've gotten even better.

I think Little Red would have laid Barry out.

from what I remember of barry was he was a very busy fighter, brawler maybe? It would take someone very special to be considered a threat to Sal. that's right, he was only 23 when he died? Damn, he was a nice kid too!

I like Barry an awful lot, he was very very good and had a freakish reach for a featherweight. But Chava is one of the greatest 126ers ever, and Barry isn't. And Barry doesn't have a stylistic advantage here either.
