A lot of folks like to portray this as a 120-107 job etc. Just watched the fight, Boring yes, but wlad was missing A LOT and holding- haye kept flopping to offset the hugging as he doesn’t have the size of a fury.

I personally had it 115-111 wlad, haye was really efficient when he decided to throw but he just couldn’t overcome wlads size, not his jab. Wlads jab was missing frequently.

overall, the right man won but haye wasn’t totally schooled and wlad never had him in trouble. Punch stats below

    Klitschko

    jabs- 105/376
    Power- 29/133
    Total- 134/ 509
    Connect - 26%

    haye

    jabs- 36/171
    Power- 39/119
    Total- 75/293
    Connect- 26%

    how did you score it?

P.s I had it wider for wlad previously

Haye barely landed a punch on Wlad and was out of range for virtually the entire fight. He didn't even win a single round in my book. You can call it what you want though.

I feel wlad could’ve stepped it up a gear if required, comfortable win but wouldn’t call it a schooling

Wlad holding is what Wlad does. Should he have been warned or DQed for it throughout most of his career? Probably, but Haye knew that going in and he had no plan for the grabbing other than flopping.
Haye lost very decisively. Making Wald miss doesn't mean much if you don't make him pay.

hayes plan was to flop, eventually costing him a point. Just didn’t have the size to overcome Wlad imho

Haye made him hit thin air most of the night, I recall, but couldn't get anything off really due to Wlad's size

This was Wlad at his peak

It was a pretty good fight . The only thing that made the fight not as good as it could have been ; was Wladimir. His holding at any opportunity, his excessive leaning on Haye. Haye would not let Wlad lean down on him so he would take a knee when it happened. It was clear as a Caribbean Sea why Haye was dropping to a knee. But instead of telling g Wlad to stop , Haye was penalized instead for this tactic and that point deduction was absolutely absurd.
Haye pressed the action most of the fight and troubled Wlad on a few occasions. Wlad held on to Haye tight, like he just came home for Christmas.

I also greatly remember Wlad cringy pre fight interview about how he was going to make Haye a " pizza face" . He did not make Haye into a pizza face. He didnt even try. He couldn't actually because he was too afraid to let his hands go. I cringed everytime Wlad said " pizza face". I know English is not his primary language but if there are two words I never want to hear Wlad say ever again; pizza and face, or the combination of the two .

Haye 7 rounds to 5 because unlike the ref ; I didnt take a point for Haye not allowing Wlad to lay on top of him and I did take points away from Wlad for excessive holding and negative play in the ring.
