Not sure jury is still out , I think he will fight for a world title but possibly come up short but it also depends how Eddie manoeuvres him.

Can definitely win the euro I reckon

he will have to wait awhile to win a world title I believe, fighters like beterbiev, bivol, brown beat him right now

ideally a fight with Yarde or Johnson would tell us more and make sense but doubt those fights happen

he should be trying to fight the likes of koelling, mikhalkin, fornling, bunn next

He’s fortunate the top guys are ageing, wait a couple of years and he’ll be a champ

I rate him as European level. He can win and hold that title in my view. But he isn’t going to make it at world title level.

He was wide open and getting clipped off Ryan Ford, and he was also open against Periban too.

He clearly has talent and is way above British level. But I think his defensive issues will be exploited when he moves up in class.

I rate Buasti highly but he's in the toughest and deepest divison in the world. Going on currently on what he has displayed so far I can't see him beating Bivol or Beterbiev. A past it Kovalev maybe.

Caparello is rumoured to be his next fight again and that's a step in the right direction. If Buasti wins that as I expect him to, after that fight they should look for Buasti to step up again in class and fight against someone such as Hart, Smith Jr, Barrera and Boesell level.

I think he'll end up holding one of the belts but don't see him really being 'elite'.

He's in a tough division but all the current top fighters I'd expect to be on the decline when he challenges. It'll be about timing for him I think (right fight at the right time).

I think he's defensively leaky also and I'm sure he got stunned by one or two of Fords shots briefly.

Let's wait to see when he doesn't have everything go his own way in a fight, then need to see if against a top operator who isn't just going to fall over when he hits them.

Definitely has talent, feel like he needs to be let off his leash though when talking. I just feel like when he's being interviewed he isn't himself, sounds like he's been AJ media trained?

I've been impressed with Buatsi since the Olympics. Don't forget, he was pretty green even then. He won a medal as much on talent and instinct as anything he was taught.
He still has time to work on his defence and to hone the skill set nature gave him. With the right handling and timing he could be a two weight World Champion.

Buatsi needs to step up, and soon.

Hearn needs to deliver for both him and Callum Johnson.

I would like to see either of them fight Yarde, but with Tunde giving him the "Wilder" route I don't think we will ever see that happen

Reason being? Any other fighters on the same trajectory with the potential of being elite?

In my humble opinion Buatsi ticks all the boxes.

He's a good fighter with good shot selection, I especially like his body work. But on a few occasions I think he gets hit too much, which ain't good with the punchers in this division.

Johnson was lined up to face mikhalkin for the euro title and Buatsi holds the British title.

a unification between them makes sense and Hearn has both fighters so why not.

    loser can fight Richards
