I m not sure it would sell tbh...it was pretty clear haye was suffering from a career of injuries in that last bellew fight. With all the will in the world he couldn,t even commit to a punch in that fight. Briggs would have beat him. His body is defo done.

As much as i love a comeback...and a haye comeback would have been interesting with his power if there wasn,t injuries. You can always try to fight age tho....you just cant beat injury like hes had. Defo done...the man shouldnt be near a ring again.

All correct in what your saying

However a fool and his money are easily parted
Im convinced it would make money if Haye was promoted in the right way during the build up

That's the sad reality.... Many of us (@Jurgen aside) would pay to see the inevitable.

Looking at the replies in this thread looks like you could be right mate.

Quite surprised people would be up for it and thats coming from someone that wouldn,t have minded seeing nigel benn fight a few months back and briggs make a slow sensible comeback.

I think haye is damaged tho...painful to watch that second bellew fight. Not because he lost or because the manner of it...more because it looked like something was stopping him being able to commit to a punch. Didnt look age related to me...more that the man was trying to fight with serious injuries. Thats when you know your done. I reckon any top 20 fighter will beat haye. I,d probably fancy briggs to beat him. And pretty much most full time heavyweight fighters. Joshua would literally kill him at this point in time.

Can anyone blame him for suggesting it?

The Haye Bellew fights were a watershed moment, anything should be possible now. Doesn't matter if there is any relevance to the fight, doesn't matter if there are any titles on the line, which weight it's fought at, or even if one of the fighters is being held together by blu tack.

Even Hearn had reservations before putting the first one PPV. It would be oddly intriguing to see just how low they can go.

Don't think anything will come from it to be honest. I'm never against these comebacks if they're being done properly, as in start lower and fight a legit fighter before you get a shot at someone who is going to make you rich. But this wouldn't be one of those, it would be perhaps the most obvious cash grab of all time.

And frankly, it would likely still work

It's a bit like Haye-Audley except the winner of Fury-Joshua is miles better than Haye ever was ..... and 2021 Haye is likely even worse than the 2010 Audley !

He said it tongue and cheek, must be. After the Bellew pounding I thought that would have kept him quiet.
