If they were to fight next at 147 who takes it? Is Khans speed and combination punching enough to beat the lazy inactive Broner? Or does my man Brondigity eventually time Khan with a hard shot and stop him? I know both guys are not what they once were but at this stage I think it's a fun fight. Thoughts?
I could see Khan dominating through 6 rounds and then Broner finally waking up and catching him with a well timed counter that hurts and wobbles him and then maybe doing enough to get Khan out of there.
I like this fight. I'm not emotionally investedin either of them so I could just relax and watch the fight unfold. Sometimes watching your favourite fighters can be stressful. It can be nice to watch a fight for what it is instead of letting personal bias get in the way.
I also think that this is a fight that would do reasonably well I would like to see it happen in the UK. By the looks of Broner's social media he is on the outs with Haymon so I wouldn't be surprised to see Hearn make him an offer.
Good call, khan is going to pull in way more at the gate in the uk than he or broner would combined in the U.S. I actually loves these crossroads fights. The winner would prove they deserve another shot. Something tells me broner will get the judah treatment at some point though, where he keeps getting high profile fights because he's a marketable name opponent
Yeah it's possible but Judah actually matured a bit when he got older and put in the work Broner seems like a immature lazier type.
Haha, true. Despite what I said, judah was always my favourite fighter. I really liked his style. You're right, he matured and even at his worst he wasnt even a quarter as arrogant as broner is. Broner is an identity crisis.
If Broner went all out from the opening bell, gunning for the KO, he'd get it. Also, if Sammy Vargas, who's clammy ass could time and nearly KO Khan, not once but twice. Broner who has far better timing and is heavier handed, definitely would.
I'd favor Khan prime for prime. Just out speeding and out hustling his way to a win. Can see Broner timing and dropping or stopping him but favor Khan to win on points. Today I don't know or particularly care about who would win. Neither are really relevant anymore.
Prime for prime, Khan takes it. In a battle of the inactive, shopworn versions, Khan might have slowed enough for Broner to cold-**** him. He's on that track already, got a bout with Pacquiao off the back of a draw with Jessie Vargas. In Zab's defence, he was a much greater natural talent with a far better résumé.
