Was you born this stupid or did you have to work on it? Bellew used to kill himself to make weight at LHW for a reason: CW was stacked and held have got eaten alive. Where was Bellew's discipline when he moved up to CW? He looked fat AF. Special Forces > Boxing
The bloke wasn't body beautiful but he had no problem doing the rounds - you can't knock his fitness. Same goes for Tyson Fury..... looks podgy but can do 12 rounds standing on his head no bother.
Had Tony up for a meet and greet last year, I admit that before hand i was not his biggest fan and my brother Matty was the one that wanted him up. After meeting him I can say that he was a gent, he had time for everyone, was polite and his interview with Craig Stephen was immense. He did a long Q&A after it with no questions held back out unanswered. Evening didn't finish till after 1 and even when he was leaving he was still stopping for photos and to sign things for people. He maybe does say some crazy things but he is actually very likeable in person and i can't say that about others I have met.
What a stupid dumb **** you are. He became CW world champion and you are questioning his discipline. Have you ever done any form of boxing training in your life? Because if you did you would understand the level of discipline it would require to become a 12 round championship fighter.
Hush now. Have you ever done any training for the special forces? Was probably in the TA for a weekend and think you can compare it SF training.
So how have I missed the point? Tell me. So he's just an "army guy"? He's ex SAS/SBS, you fool. The greatest SF team, historically speaking. My heart bleeds that a fighter had to make weight, but did it in such an unhealthy manner because he didn't fancy his chances at his NATURAL weightclass. I don't think you understand the discipline that it takes to be in the special forces. This is the thing with Boxers AND Boxing fans - you think Boxing is the hardest thing in the world, when it really isn't. I'd rather do 4-5 rounds with Adonis Stevenson than be in a WAR ZONE for months, possibly years on end.
12 rounds against who though? He only faced one guy with high output, and that was Clev. Even then it wasn't;t against a guy with power behind it.
If you actually read my original comment probably you’d see that i acknowledged that the guys on the show are “elite soldiers”. The point I was making was that Bellew, as a world level fighter and a man who did indeed starve himself far beyond any sort of healthy weight in order to compete and then fight over 10-12 round distances knows exactly what it takes to build discipline. There’s no point debating that any further because it’s a fact. Boxing = discipline, especially at world level. None of us here have done any training for special forces I’d imagine. What’s clear is that you don’t have the foggiest about boxing training seeing as you dismissed Bellew’s training because he carried a higher body fat than most boxers at CW. You sound like the gossiping women at my office dismissing Andy Ruiz before the Joshua fight because he was fat.
Not content with demonstrating your general stupidity and poor reading comprehension you have now displayed your poor boxing knowledge because Bellew’s 12 round win over Masternak was far more impressive than his win over Cleverly and probably goes down as his most underrated win in his career.
It goes both ways. Tell that last paragraph to Gerald McLennan or Eduard Gutknecht. You’ve blown an observation that Bellew already knows the meaning of discipline into a ridiculous special forces vs boxing argument. Don’t think anyone really gives a toss about such a debate, you’re just trying to be an argumentative ***** for no reason. Also the irony of “was you born stupid” has not been lost on me. Should have just left it there really.
YOU started it with your stupid comment regarding height. Oh, does EVERYONE who tells a world boxer about discipline have to be over 5'7? I've forgotten more about boxing training than you'd ever know. Its your 'some army guy" " he's 5'7, what does he know about discipline?' illustrate how naive YOU are about SF and military training in general.
