Just watched Foreman`s fight v Coertzer and his hands were as quick as they were when he was younger, but his feet were far slower as were his reflexes, did fans underestimate Foreman`s speed when he was younger? Did te oldder Foreman display decent hand speed?

No, Foreman was slow in his second career. That's part of the reason why I love watching his older version so much :)

I don't think speed ever played much of a role in Foreman's style however he significantly slowed down in his later career.

I think you might be overestimating his handspeed in that fight because he mostly just threw short jabs without much body rotation in them, and one at a time, if I recall correctly. The fastest punch you can possibly throw, really.

There’s still a speed difference there but it’s even more obvious if you look at his combinations, flurries, and other punches.

Of course not. Was Jesse Owen's at 40, as fast as he was at 20? It's also on film and plainly obvious. C'mon Mark.

Only a guy as daft as Mark Ant would even ask if a guy in his 40s had the same quickness that he had in his 20s.

His hands were much quicker than his feet at 40, his punches were shorter.
