Pre-ban Povetkin was pretty scary, he probably would have stopped Wilder.
I mean, it was rather obvious when he suddenly got jacked and leaner after the Wlad fight and went on a tear stopping guys who had never been stopped before (Takam, Perez and Wach). The only instance when it was even more obvious that a guy suddenly got on a program was when Charr came back after getting shot in the best shape of his life.

And povetkin dodged a bullet from the hammering he would of received from the gypsy king if he won

Povetkin has a great style to beat Wilder. He is physically much stronger than Wilder and we've seen how Wilder tends to crumble against aggression. Common sense makes Povetkin the favorite, especially as the fight was to take place in Russia. I'd put it at 60/40.

Povetkin would have given him a worse beating than Fury. And it wouldn’t have taken two attempts

Agreed, Povetkin aggressive style is all wrong for Wilder. That's why he ran from Russia as fast as he could.

If Molina and Gerald Washington were able to get to Wilder, then I'll give Povetkin more then a fighting chance.

Sad?? Lol :D You see his little walkout before the Fury rematch?? His dumbass videos since?? I’m loving every second of his downfall. I HOPE a third fight happens to. I really do :) Fury wastes him again.

Yes but he wasn't in Russia. He was training in Sheffield, England a week before when it got called off. And he flew straight home and probably had a celebration party in Alabama with Mauricio Sulemain.

Wilder would have been destroyed, no doubt about it. Povetkin was a come forward, big punching aggressive beast with a good chin. Like you say >> His style was all wrong for Wilder. It would have been like Wilders last visit to Russia when he got KTFO by Evgeny Romanov.

This. Also, Povetkin was already last prime at the time. Povetkin would’ve ran out of steam and got knocked out.

Yes, Wilder certainly dodged a bullet when Povetkin failed drug tests for ALL his fights that year.

At least we can see how pathetic Povetkin is now that he's testing clean and can't knock anyone out or even beat former cruiserweights like Hunter.

Sucks when has-beens have to cheat to stay relevant. Good thing he got caught over and over again that year.

Povetkin's not much as a fighter without the PEDs. Then again, he was never really more than WBA "Regular" champ level, anyway. Even with the juice.

I guess it would have depended on what costume Wilder chose for his ring walk ...

Heavy costume ... Povetkin early k.o. , lightweight costume ... something skimpy, spandex perhaps ... Wilder by devastating 1st round K.O..

Right, Ortiz was beating Wilder black & blue. Povetkin would KO him.
