Do you mean right now? Mikey stops Brook, who's washed up. The Brook of 6 years ago probably beats Mikey at 147.
I don't think Kell is that washed up. He's still the bigger stronger man and looked better against Spence than Mikey did.
I would still take brook even now tbh.Mikey doesn't belong at welterweight and personally I can't see him beating any elite welters.
No Disrespect, but Kell Brook IS DONE. You don't the punishment he took in losing to GGG and Errol Spence and ALMOST losing both eyes....... Kell Brook taking those 2 fights Back to Back against the BIGGEST punchers in EACH Division may be the DUMBEST move I've ever seen in Boxing... Bruh, HE'S DONE, and it'll show the next time he fights someone with a real pulse.
Brook would bear Garcia at 147, to big and punches to hard for Garcia who be to hesitant to throw with Kell. Kell always had a good chin so it be unlikely Garcia has a punch to worry brook coming forward to attack.
I would take Brook in this, even now. Mikey has no business at 147 let alone facing a big, strong welterweight such a Brook. I know styles make fights, but look at their respective performances vs Spence - Garcia lost every single of every round and just survived. Mikey is bettter P4P for sure, there's no question he's the better fighter. But Brook is a talented 147 fighter and I don't think Mikey can do damage to Brook like Spence and GGG did.
Brook by k.o no doubt, but Mikey dont want that chocolate brownie smoke and neither does Crawford. Even past president me Brook is an avoided fighter!!!
Mikey Garcia is not an elite welterweight. Kell Brook was. I would expect Kell being able to trade jabs and win those exchanges with his length would stifle all of Mikey's momentum. Not to mention how flat footed he Mikey is. Mikey's best weight was clearly 130/135.
Natural Welter Ezekiel Brook had the balls to challenge GGG when GGG was looking like GGG, and before naturally larger men Canelo and Jacobs did. And BJS never fought Triple G. Kell did and GGG wasn't looking slow and a bit past it when he did. Mickey is a fine fighter but is a natural 135 pounder. Ezekiel is used to hanging with bigger guys than himself. Balls of Steel prime Kell beats brave but overmatched Mikey
This. I hate to say it, but after the GGG fight Brook became damaged goods. Brook is done at the top level.
