    He learned to stay away from relentless brawlers from Mexico.

    Salido is Lomas Daddy

    As a matter of fact I heard Loma came home one day and his kids were watching salido on TV and they were pointing at the screen shouting "daddy, daddy" and Loma was like wtf and his kids said you aren't our daddy anymore, daddy salido is

    Salido won, in my opinion. I was rooting for my countryman badly but even before the start of last round I thought Loma needed KO or multiple knockdowns to win that fight. Yes, Salido cheated at the scales and he threw tons of low blows in the fight, but as far as scoring the rounds I can't give it any closer than 115-113 for Salido

    Loma of course. Unless that is you wanna count over a third of Salido's illegal 142 total punch connects as legal scoring blows which he obviously should've been DQ'd for or at the very least incurred multiple point deductions for. And even then Loma still managed to outland him by 22 punches (164 total)

    But I had it for Loma despite that

    I was counting every legal punch from Salido and had Loma ahead. But Lomas punches where cleaner that should also be taken in account. And to be fair, last round should be scored 10-8. It is wrong to score close rounds and rounds with total dominance with the same 10-9 pionts.

    I scored it recently, rooting for Salido, and since I don't actually care about dirty fighting or not, I included all punches in my scoring, not just the legal ones.

    I ended up with it 7-5 Loma, with two swing rounds, meaning it could go either way or be a draw.

    Current Mexican boxers are unskilled barroom brawlers compared to Lomachenko. Last time I checked Salido ducked the rematch. He only got a hometown decision in Texas which is notoriously corrupt in favor of Mexicans.

    Not to mention a 2nd pro fight against arguably he hardest son of a ***** in boxing at the time in Orlando Salido!

    That alone deserves credit.

    A 30-0 Mikey pulled a No Mass against that Salido the previous year and Mikey, at worst, would've weighed about the same as Salido if not more, not been outweighed by 11 freaking pounds. And Mikey had been into the 8th or longer six times, not never having been past 5 rounds before.

    ''But but Mikey floored Salido x 4''

    Yes, he floored a Salido who weighed about the same as him not one who had 11lbs on him. I'm sure his shots would've had exactly the same effect on Salido if the later weighed two weight classes heavier than him lol. Not to mention the effect Salido's shots would've had a on Mikey who weighed two weight classes less than him or the effect Loma's would've had on a Salido who weighed two weight classes less than him. Hell, Loma almost got him in the 12th despite the huge weight disparity and he would've definitely done so to a Salido who weighed the same as him, let alone one who he had 11lbs on. Not rocket science :facepalm:

    Lomachenko won it.

    There are three reasons why he was declared 'lost'.

    1) Incompetent and dirty referee ;
    Lawrence Cole let Salido hit low so freely and didn't even listen to any of Loma's protest. The number of low-blows Salido put against Loma more than deserved to be penalized by at least 2 points. And yet, he didn't even warn the Mexican for doing it.

    2. Unfair judge decision ;
    This match is held in Texas which is known for giving more advantage to Mexican or hispanic American boxer. As a title challenger who is considered outsider, this is obviously an uphill battle. This reminds me to another favorite boxer of mine, Chris John, who was also harshly robbed despite of his excellent performance against Rocky Juarez. And he also was victim of Lawrence Cole, who was also the referee at that match. Cole kept holding John's hand and other things to provoke him and make him uneasy.

    3. Not a fair fight ;
    The fight between Loma and Salido was not a title defense where the champion was supposed to defend his belt. Salido failed the weigh-in and came to the fight as a welterweight, while Loma adhered to the rule as he seek to be a world champion. Tell me if this is a fair fight.

    One of the worst refereed fights I ever saw. One more round and Loma may have stopped him.
