Prince Charles Williams. Kind of a late bloomer but always physically strong. Marvin Johnson was outclassing a green Williams but was dropped and nearly stopped in the last round because he could not keep him off him. Marvin took Williams under his wing and helped develop him after that fight when he realized his potential. He had a nice run at light-heavyweight after winning the IBF title. He made Bobby Czyz quit twice and not many boxers did that.

I don’t know a whole lot about this fighter honest other than he was a great. I may have seen a fights or two but what stands out to me is that he looks like a tank!

Depends on what you mean by strong. Who could lift heavier weight or who was better at physically manipulating their opponent? There's a difference. I've rolled with plenty of grapplers that don't lift weights whatsoever but feel really strong because of technique and skill.

Just saw a video of him doing squats and I have to say whoever his coach is that is letting him do that needs to be fired asap. He's barely managing 140 kg for 6 half rep pin squats. That's pitiful for someone that has been lifting as long as he has.

Nothing wrong with that. Its safe and warming up. Not a weight lifting contest.

Out of left field but does anyone remember Booker T Word? He was only a journeyman with a big punch but he was built like a tank. Amazing physique just not that good of a fighter.

James Scott needs to be part of this conversation. He absolutely physically dominated most of his opponents and only ever took a backwards step if he chose to do so.

It was certainly not a warm up. Nobody films a warm up, makes a point about how much weight he is lifting, and posts it on the internet. That is ridiculous. Also it is not safe. You can literally see the weight bouncing off the pins unevenly not to mention there is no pause. You don't just set up pins and do quarter squats if you aren't pausing. I cannot emphasize how stupid of an exercise it is. There isn't a single person in the weight training world with half a brain that would say "yeah quarter pin squats are better than the squat for what he's training for". Nothing about Beterbiev's squat is impressive.
