Do you think that Marg was guilty?

hard to say before and after the Cotto fight Margarito never had any fights a brutal as the Cotto bout, only time he’s ever beaten an elite fighter was Cotto and directly after got caught vs Mosley in his next fight realistically why cheat vs an older Mosley but not vs a prime Cotto who beat Mosley.

I think that’s one of the things that we will never know for sure but, it’s hard to think he didn’t considering how everything played out.

well let’s see in a 12 months span Cotto was demolished by Margarito, had a close fight vs Clottey and was destroyed again by Pacquiao..

matter he took off a year came back and stopped Foreman, Rodriguez, and Margarito in the rematch.
After the Margarito rematch he challenged manny to a fight for his 154 title and manny ducked out if he couldn’t get another catchweight, manny also ducked current top 5 JMW yuri foreman to fight an unranked Margarito coming off a loss and suspension. So I would say even manny thought Cotto was better.

Margarito /Cotto 2 was stopped not to save Marg's eye but to save Cotto the embarrassment of quitting on his knees again. Marg was blind in that eye from round 2 & the doc knew that why didnt he stop it earlier ??? No he waited until Cotto started to wilt again & Marg was beating his chest at him. Cotto could not LEGITIMATELY beat a basically one eyed Margarito he had to rely on that crooked doc . Remember the Foreman fight?? where Mercante refused to let Foreman's corner throw in the towel Foreman couldnt stand up let alone walk his leg was done for Then you had Martinez who should never have passed the physical with his knees . Cotto is only good for fighting injured opponents & even then still cannot legitimately beat them

You hate Maywether and that’s okay I hate BOTH Klitschko brothers. But Maywether took pacs precious wbo belt and kindly put it back into recirculation. And then retired undefeated. Plus Marquez had the entire world think pac was dead in the ring. Can’t recall the time I seen that from Floyd. And he dominated Marquez

Manny fought Marg for the vacant JMW title, so he could be recognised as an 8 division champ. He wanted to accomplish that feat. But not title fights should ever be allowed to be fought at C-Ws.

I think a fair comparison of who is should be Pacs seven loses vs Floyd's toughest seven fights. Sounds ridiculous, but there you go.

He could have fought Foreman for a real title even with a c-w that would have been better, me personally I’m not a big fan of the weight stipulations in title fights if everything is even but if it makes the fight so be it

Dude, Yuri was done. Why do you think he was picked for Cotto's title fight at 154? Dude had a bum leg. And was promoted by TR as well. Was a perfect return for Cotto.

When was Manny supposed to face Yuri? How was Manny obligated in any way to fight Foreman? No one really counts his jrMw title as anything. You're a little mistaken w/ Margarito. he lacklusterly beat Robert Garcia after the suspension.

Manny could have fought yuri instead of Margarito, he was offered the Foreman fight before Cotto and Margarito and ducked out because of Stylewise him being more difficult than Margarito, and that is the actual point dude had a chance to face a REAL champ and ducked out to fight an unranked fighter coming off suspension. And also I didn’t forget that scraping past Garcia after getting stopped by Mosley is embarrassing for a fighter you guy claim is this boogie man so I didn’t mention it because it’s not really something IF I were a fan I’d brag about lol but if you want to then so be it

Yuri was a titlist at 154. He beats Yuri he gets the "David Daiz" treatment from you guys. No win situation w/ Foreman. Shane beating Margarito means zilch in regards to Floyd - Margarito. Floyd doesn't "inherit" that win. Sorry.

musk jnow what your talking about with inheriting wins but nobody is calling yuri foreman a great fighter but for that matter neither is Margarito the only point that you seem to be missing is that manny had a chance to face an actual ranked champion and opted to fight an unranked guy for a vacant belt coming off a suspension.

surely you can agree fighting a champ even at a catchweight is better than fighting an unranked fighter who doesn’t even compete in that division at a catchweight for a title?

Yes, Neither was Margarito...so what? Look... it's plainly obvious Manny was never going to stay at 154. You want to nitpick between an injured Foreman or Margarito...go for it. No one cares about his 154 title anyway..

    Nobody thought Bradley beat Pac.

I and more than just a tiny minority scored Pac/Horn to Horn. I feel he won 7 rounds.
