I think he's flat out better than Barkley and Kinchen. Hagler's style was not to put his hands up and pressure forward and forward either, by the way.

Froch does put on pressure throughout the fight, though. He's a hard man to face.

THE most basic, elementary schoolboy error in boxing. Something that was drilled into us every night.

Yet, despite that, Froch beat everyman he ever faced, except Ward, who is an ATG in the making.

If he is 'Too big, too strong for GGG,' then He's too big, too strong for Thomas Hearns

Tommy Hearns was a level above Triple Myth.

It matters how Hearns fights and if he takes fighting at 168 seriously. His problem was he was moving up and down so much in those years he never got comfortable anywhere. If he fought Froch like he did Hill and he respected him, he would probably outbox him. If he went for broke on Froch and got tired that might not work well. This fight as many fights he did not do well has to do with Hearns and how he fought.

I am not sure Froch beats either Barkely or Kinchen. At least I would pick Barkley with confidence over Froch. Styles makes fights

Look at the 6th round of Froch/Groves I, Hearns could absolutely top that, and level Froch, or he could be walked down and taken out. Pick 'em.

If Hearns pulls off what George Groves did, Froch is getting stopped.

The Johnson fight suggests that this would not end well for Carl. Barkley would put on much more pressure, attack the body and head with hooks. The low guard of Froch would eventually be his downfall

Low guard or not, Barkley was easier to hit. I think Froch would come between those quite wild swings.

Have to say, I think Barkley might be the most consistently overrated fighter on this forum. Aside from the wins over Hearns (which admittely are very good), he doesn't have much.

Look, this fight would end up who is the better catcher. Yes Froch will land often, but Iran will take them and keep the pressure going. One thing we know about Iran, he can take a punch.

So could Froch. And he had a history of turning fights around and really putting opponents under pressure in later stages. Barkley lacks comeback wins like that.

I don't like Tommy's chances in rounds 8 -12. Hearns needs to get him outta there and Froch is tough. Froch is a 60/40 favorite in my book.
