I already said he defeated a final elimination bout ,I brought it up because you can’t act bewildered when there’s 4 sanctioning bodies with different fighters ranked to fight in place of title shots . Why did Ortiz get a title shot for beating Mike Martz and Who the second time Hammer in the WBC with one ranking system ? I brought certain things up because I knew this would go sidewise and you guys look at Joshuas opponents but then won’t question others ? You guys seem to play dumb on here IDK, you guys know Pulev was his mandatory in 2016 if not why are you on here ? Ha
You didn’t ask why it happened ,you asked why he’s getting a title shot. You couldn’t cope with the answer I gave you . Here’s the part you missed ... I brought certain things up because I knew this would go sidewise and you guys look at Joshuas opponents but then won’t question others ? You guys seem to play dumb on here IDK, you guys know Pulev was his mandatory in 2016 if not why are you on here ?
Oh it's a "you guys" thing now. I get it. You have no substance to anything you are saying. I never said a word about Wilder and I would question the same thing about his mandatories if they were relevant but this thread is about pulev being Joshua's mandatory which I think any boxing fan can agree is stupid and the only thing you know how to do is talk about Wilder. If you are satisfied with a unified champion fighting some over the hill never was then that's all you
Povetkin can fight on for as long as he's still got it, but these two boring old farts need to shuffle off the stage ASAP.
Why do I need substance. When everyone but you apparently know Pulev won a elimination bout ? Breazeale, Whyte and Miller declined so he fought Hughie so what are you crying about ? Hughie Fury was next in line is that difficult to understand how Pulev got the mandatory spot ? AJ fights multiple mandatories in 3 /4 different sanctions,if you don’t like that fight don’t watch it, cry me a River. In the meantime understand it’s not a decision of AJ it’s the actual rules in boxing
Given the current state of sport, the case of UFC 249 going ahead this weekend behind 'closed' doors and the fact that this may lead to a slow and staggered return of boxing in one way shape or form, no doubt Pulev feels a need to start making himself and the mandatory title fight relevant news again. I'd hardly expect Pilev to turn around and say ' yeah, I'll be happy and proud if I last to the halfway mark'. He's going to be talking himself up and dissing Joshua to try and create interest. Building a boxing match, standard stuff really.
Pulev is gonna bust that stiff bodybuilder up with equally stiff jabs, "pop, pop, pop, ha, ha" Then Adam Smith "DOWN GOES aj, it's msg all over again"
Don't blame Joshua for this Mando, blame the Orgs. Unless you have obvious agendas... What do you want him to do? Drop the belt? Then you'll accuse him of ducking. Idiots. Joshua destroys Pulev in a vicious style from earlier in his career. The lad simply cannot win with you halfwits. Win, its a fake win, lose, he is a bum. I repeat, idiots.
It's hard to know what Pulev will do because he always seems unconvincing in his wins. But he did win Olympic gold and Wlad seemed to suggest that he was technically better than Joshua (after fighting both). Pulev is relatively big and has a good chin too. Wlad needed around three clean hooks and three clean steelhammers to finally finish Pulev. Few needed that many clean hits from Wlad to be put away. So who knows, maybe he does out skill and spoil Joshua and can survive some bombs, enough to take the fight into deep waters and make Joshua doubt himself again, then land some clean ones on the chin. We should be encouraging Pulev, not putting the guy down. Quit with all the negativity towards him. How many of these Pulev haters can say they passed a sexual harassment course, and at his age? It wouldn't have been easy juggling professional boxing training and getting a certification. Give the guy a break, he's doing his goddamn best to be the best boxer and best man he can be.
When did he win an Olympic gold? His chin looks average to me. Every time Wlad caught him he went down. Fair play to him for getting up, but his defence and actual punch resistance are nothing to write home about based on that fight alone. He probably will look to spoil and hold because that's the pattern of almost all his fights these days. He might catch Joshua with his jab now and again; it's his one world class attribute, and no doubt Joshua detractors will seize on that to criticise his performance as if fighters at HW are never supposed to get hit. But I doubt if Joshua is remotely phased by anything he does, even if the fight does go into the later rounds. Pulev is just very, very predictable and average.
If he's going to run his mouth the least he could do would be to be a bit entertaining with his trash-talking, not this boring-ass "I will beat him because I am strong Bulgarian man" EE lameness we've heard a hundred times before. No one buys it and no one is remotely amused by it so it only serves to make him look a pillock. Mix it up. Be quirky. Make a few grammatical gaffs that people can remember you for. Usyk did and he's a legend.
