I'm going with Martinez on points here. Duran was still a great fighter and middleweight but not good enough to beat Martinez imo who was a much different style to Hagler and Barkley. Thoughts?

I hate fights were I have to pick against Duran since he is one of my all time favorites but this is a case where Martinez hand soeed and combination punching wins him the majority of the rounds. Duran is without question the greater fighter but that greatness was at 135-147 even though he did do some remarkable things at 154 (Moore) and 160 (Barkley)

I am not sure that sergio wins this even when he is more natural in this weight class

Martinez wins a decision at 160. His style is alk wrong for the aging Duran

Maybe Martinez. Duran to me was great at lightweight, but only good at middleweight.

If Duran's on, he is not losing to skill-less ass Martinez.

Martinez should win this with his speed and footwork. Duran was obviously the far better fighter but Martinez would have been a tall order for him. It's one thing for Duran to deal with a guy much bigger who's gonna come in and look to have a brawl, but it's way different when he's facing a guy who enjoys a comfortable size advantage who's also very quick and looking to land his punches and back off. I think Martinez would have the fight combination of speed and quick footwork to beat Duran to the punch while keeping away, and a pretty solid punch to keep Duran honest all night.

At 154 or 160 I think Martinez stops him late
