Who's Greater? Gennady Golovkin or Jung Koo Chang?

Two my favourites to watch, both awesome pressure fighters, but which is greater?

 

I have a man crush on GGG so him

 

Definitely Chang, absolutely awesome little fighter who's place as #1 Light-Flyweight is pretty much absolute; in both H2H and Achievements. GGG has a very padded KO% and hasn't actually beaten a top echelon talent (Jacobs and Derevyanchenko don't count).

 

He beat Canelo twice

 

Not officially. And he didn't, he beat Canelo once.

 

I think GGG would give most middleiweights big problems. I just feel like he left his transition too late.

 

I thought Golovkin clearly beat Canelo twice but I’m not so convinced on Canelo to think that’s enough to rate him higher than Chang.

 

I had it a draw and a Canelo win.

 

Chang was a tiny warlord. His fights are always excellent and when on form was an ATG fighting machine. The Zapata rematch and Torres 1 and 3 are mental!

Ever time I watch Chang, maybe my expectations are too high.

He lost to the names I recognize ( At least once ) , and almost all of this fights were in Korea. The 108 pound division is very thin.

Skilled for sure, but his resume is on the thin side. Those who like flashy combos with aggression and moderate power, allowing for a show of his skills to continue for rounds should check him out.

GGG dominated a at middleweight more impressively, and didn't really lose to his best opponents. The judges robbed him....twice.

 

You don't recognize names like Tokashiki, Torres, Ohashi or Perez? All were champions of some form or another.

Perhaps you're not qualified to speak on Chang if Zapata, Chiquita and Chitalada are the only names you recognize.

 

Well this is going to go well.

And GGG's isn't?

Yeah, he comes with some of the most entertaining, skilled pressure fighting ever at the weight. Awesome head-movement, feints and footwork, his creativity and technical skill leaves nothing to be desired.

Did he though? I find beating higher level competition clearly more impressive than beating up smaller guys and fringe contenders. GGG has no win to match stopping Zapata in 3, and iirc making him quit.

If GGG was robbed vs Canelo in the rematch, why weren't Jacobs and Derevyanchenko robbed vs Golovkin? All 3 fights were razor close and can be argued as draw, or indeed, either way. IE: No Robbery. GGG was robbed once vs Canelo. I cannot fathom a card for Canelo in that first fight.

But, this is a clear double standard. Why does GGG get credit for fights he didn't win, when you're detracting from Chang for that exact reason? If GGG is credited with robberies, why doesn't Chang get his rightfully deserved credit for Zapata 1, and Chitalada 2?
