The next major card coming up still scheduled is Ritson vs Vazquez on June 27th at the Newcastle arena. The question is whether this is still financially viable without any fans. As the buffoons “in charge” of the country are stating that live sports with fans may only return once a vaccine is found, or if there is a reduction in cases/deaths from October 1st at the earliest. How many live sporting events between now and October 1st would be viable without fans? How many would be viable with a very small number of people attending (due to distancing measures required for spectators) after October 1st? By small number I am guessing less than 500.
I would be shocked if we saw decent level boxing in this country before August or September at the very earliest. They just cant have a proper camp in this environment.
To be honest I'd be shocked if we don't start seeing the infection rate going up by then. I honestly don't think we will see sporting events going ahead any time soon, hope to be proved wrong ofcourse!
Yeah, there are alot of idiots in this country and the media seem to be spreading misinformation of what Boris said. That's a bad combo.
Question, boxers cannot work from home. Nor can trainers? Does that let them reopen boxing gyms? Lewis Ritson cant be being paid that much can he?
Japan is thinking about ending their state of emergency. I wouldn't be surprised if we see boxing return there soon.
As someone who spent a significant part of his childhood in Salford, I just want to see the 2019/20 EPL season declared null and void.
Australia and New Zealand are almost back to normal now although they will have closed borders I'm sure they would make exceptions if enough cash is involved re letting elite athletes in to compete I'm pretty sure that we are going to see a lot of events heading to places like there long before we get anything here
Absolutely my point and agree. He isn't even called Boris, and has no clue what he is reading off an apparently smart screen
Part of the plan is to release contradictory and confusing advice, whilst ramping up the fear levels to a maximum. The lockdown won’t be fully lifted for some time not because it cannot be, but because the government is using this crisis to it’s advantage.
To me it was pretty clear. If you can't work from home you can go back to work aslong as social distancing is respected. Dont really get where all the confusion comes from.
