I would argue first , people are very gullible if they think he can’t get up for a major fight ,this was ony with 3 weeks of training and going off a number not a mental place or skill set . He’s easily better then a 50 year old Ortiz but no one says anything about that ?
53 year old Mike Tyson defeats 15 yr old Mike Tyson , that same 15 yr old was knocking out guys who are at least as good as some Wilder title defenses , in fact Cus told him if he had more knowledge at 15 he could defeat Holmes . The only thing Wilder could do to Tyson is maybe fall on him as he loses his balance trying to land anything and when Tyson connects to the guy who can’t take a punch very well, timber .
So your line of thinking is that a 15 year old fighter who has the physical tools to defeat Larry Holmes, gets rolled by 53 year old Herb Farm Mike? How does 53 year old Mike do against Holmes? YouTube has got ya'll HYPED UP on some Mike Tyson fantasies! The other thing that wilder could do (if you could muster up enough brain cells to follow a game plan) would be to run from Mike in round 1, and then KO him cleanly with a right hand when Mike is gassed and unable to breath in round 2. I am saying this from the perspective of someone who does not believe in Wilder and his ability to fight at all. I just believe far far far less in this version of Mike, against a guy who just had a title fight. I also think Wilder would likely have stopped the Kevin McBride version of Mike.
he couldn’t beat Danny Williams or Kevin McBride 15 years ago but people think he can beat any decent Heavyweight now?
Mike looked good on the mitts when he was beat by Williams and McBride. Grandfather time has already passed. One semi decent punch and that's it.
He looks good for a 53 year old man but being realistic his legs are gone and he looked sluggish moving out tHe way while slipping the punches. I hope he does his exhibitions and leaves it at that. I was and still am a huge Tyson fan and would not want to see him hurt or tarnish his legacy any more. He should have never fought Williams or McBride and I was happy when he packed it in. Good for him getting into shape again and wanting to help others by raising money. I’ve met him and spoken to him a little and he’s a very nice guy.
It'll go the way of benns comeback, the first time he gets punched in sparring he'll realise the gigs up.
They are taking short vids of him doing explosive moves. Bet he’s gasping for air after each clip. Mike needs to stay retired.
