He might. No excuses, Wilder knocked Fury down twice and unconscious for a few seconds in the 12th. He could certainly do that again.

I remember people laughing at Earnie Shavers when he went up against Larry Holmes the second time. People couldn't believe he was fighting for the title when Holmes had artistically dominated him so much in their first fight. Shavers didn't win, but in the 7th he landed THAT shot. And he wasn't quite the finisher WIlder usually is (it's obvious that Wilder was so amazed Fury got up from that 12th round kd he didn't recover).

Fury obviously has the heart to get up off the canvas and try his hardest. No doubt there. But Wilder is capable of keeping him there. And I personally hope he does. To me, Wilder is the most interesting/exciting heavy out there today (and yeah, the TKO heightens that, just as it did Louis/Schmeling). I think Deontay is going to surprise people.

Fury goes out in five, max.

When something is true, it isn't an excuse, and the truth is that Wilder was able to do that because Fury was 50%. When Fury was 100%, there was no comparison between the two.

And how does knocking Fury down twice equal Wilder winning, when Fury got up?

I think Wilder will surprise people too- by going nuts and biting Fury's ear, or something. But not by winning a fight.

No excuses for Wilder, no excuses for Fury. Wilder had him down twice...fact. The likelihood is good he can do it again.

Fury beat Wilder in the second fight, good too. The first fight was closer (I had Wilder winning by one point, not least of all due to the kds).

I believe in Deontay, I think he can do this. I've seen the determination on his face...he's not ****ing around. He wants this, really bad.

Don't be surprised to see Fury go out for 10. That's all I have to say on the matter. Not here to argue. Don't care who believes me.

Fury is going out like a light.

Yes, but again, something is not an excuse when it is true. The massive difference in quality we saw between the Fury of the second fight and that of the first indicates to most of the rest of the world that Fury wasn't quite ready for the first. Nor does he need an excuse, since most of the boxing world thought he won.

And again, since he got up twice, what would prevent him from doing so again?

If you aren't here to argue, fine. If you think Wilder can do this, fine. Just don't bet any money.

Being that Fury took a couple right hands early in the second fight,
this isn't overly realistic. Not impossible, nothing is but not probable.
Unless Fury loses focus Wilder will not pull it off.

Yes, he's been known to do that, hasn't he? ;)

10's of thousands of excuses as to why Fury lost. From Fury wasn't 100% to Wilder was using PED's to corrupt judges and refs. Oh, and a hell of a lot of tears.

By the time this fight happens due to covid Wilder will probably be at least a year older than the second fight and he looked god awful in that, we could of witnessed the start of Wilders decline in that fight (although I think he just wasn’t very good to begin with, was protected and very carefully matched).
