I don’t think holy is taking much at this point, he looks damn frail. Maybe this was Tyson’s strategy, wait 20 years for the 3rd fight until Evander can barely hold up his hands. Revenge is sweet
more like after one or two rounds when Tyson is gassed and realizes he can’t KO Holyfield he will quit like he did in their second fight or get stopped like he did in the first fight. Tyson isn’t beating Holyfield. Doesn’t matter if it is 1988, 1996, 1997, or 2020.
Both Danny Williams and Kevin McBride were low level HW's. Tyson could not EVEN beat scrubs 15 years ago.
They were also massive in height, reach and weight. Men 215 and lower ranked than they were would lose to Tyson. Book it. You think Joey Dawekjo beats Tyson? He’s 5’10, 240 (overweight) and a club fighter at best. There was a Colombian heavy who was 6’, barely in the top 100. You think a guy like him can beat Tyson? I think Tyson can beat some, “Bum Of The Month”, types.
Wait a minute, so now he's only allowed to fight small HW's. Why don't they set up a new division especially for Tyson.....
Don’t say that, people are so desperate to see grey bearded Tyson fight again it would probably happen!
I just can't believe how gullible and foolish most people are. If I'm being honest I don't think we will even see him in the ring doing anything half real. If you remember Nigel Benn was making a comeback and nothing materialised.
Yeah, Benn had a shoulder injury during training, not surprised considering how old he is and the older you are the longer injuries take to heal. It's a good thing he called off his comeback, his brain finally saw sense!!!
Sulaiman can have a new WBC World Hobo and Panhandler champion belt made with genuine hobo rags and recycled aluminum from cans returned from the grocery parking lot. They can have the opposite of one of these signs made 'You must be THIS small to fight this man' Or even better, just make the opponent the Pads? Tyson has already showed he can take anything they dish out. Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing are proud to present Mike Tyson fights Paddy McPadderson for the WBC Hobo and Panhandler World Championship. Winner to face the fearsome Heavy McHeavybag who is the mandatory challenger.
His (very brief) Insta clips were mightily impressive in terms of speed and explosiveness. The only thing I take away from that is the feeling a prime Mike Tyson (ie: more than 30 years younger than now) would have given any modern HW hell, despite his lack of height and weight. We simply do not witness that kind of ferocity in the current era. But a comeback.... nah, that's a pipe dream
If he can do exactly that video for just 2 Rounds - he takes all but the Top 15 OUT. But there are some who will outlast the early rounds - and these can beat him.
He didn't take punches in those videos. At 53, when he gets hit by a good punch, what will happen? It won't be good.
Whole point of Tyson's "Peekaboo" style is not to get hit. Very aggressive swarming style - weaving in - then sidestep around the jab and - BAM - throw a left hook. No reason he can't do that - even today - for 2 or 3 Rnds. I wish we had more short "Peekaboo" boxers.
