He's like the opposite of Foreman who gives everyone way too much credit. Having them on a broadcast together would be hilarious.

It looks like we have a case here hehe

The way Shavers loaded up and windmilled to stop Holmes wasn´t any better than Wlad or Wilder going for them.

On the other hand, if Holmes happened to face Wilder or Joshau instead of Snipes hitting the jackpot....

Holmes produced a jabbing masterclass against Shavers. Of course hen was caught and floored , but he shut Shavers completry out for the most part.
Even Holmes at 43 kept Merver at bay with the jab and equalled McCall for jab at age 45. Holmes obviulsly had a great , great jab.. You think Wlad , who couldn't keep puching bag Peters on the outside , had a great jab,

He can have his opinion. But I don't have to agree with him, legend or not.

That generation were better schooled with more skills than the modern generation. Not having a go but the facts speak for themselves. Deontay or should we call him Beyoncé Wilder is a perfect example of where the current generation are based on a poor boxing education.

Holmes is right. Guys like Fury, Wilder, and Joshua wouldn't have survived getting raked back in any previous heavyweight era, no exceptions. Guys like Foreman, Tyson, and Frazier would have pounded any heavyweight today. And guys like Jersey Joe Walcott, Ezzard Charles, Ali, Holmes, and Holyfield would have boxed their socks off.

Muhammad Ali with early onset Parkinsons after he retired watched Holmes fight and mentally Ali thought to himself "I can beat that man" even though he physically wasn't capable anymore.

    Holmes would be Fury's dosser.

I can't really say much more to try and diminish Holmes, he was a sick fighter.

As for him bad mouthing the current gen? The bible of Fury states:

McDermott 3:16 - "Thou will not talk down to previous or next generation boxers"

Holmes is breaking what should be a golden rule in sport.

I'd like to see a prime 6'3" 225 pound Larry Holmes trying to handle a 6'8" 270 pound Tyson Fury who can keep coming all night long.

He'd be gasping for air late fight and begging for mercy. Fury would obviously try to match his jab early also and see how that plays out.

Larry Holmes would mop the floor with Fury and Joshua. I'm a big Fury fan but even I know today's HW don't come close to the HWs of the 90s, 80s, or even 70s.

Even Lennox Lewis has said that today's HWs aren't as schooled as his generation.

And you would know that cause ?!??????
It has never been measured in a scientific way and his KO percentage suggests he's anything but a power puncher.

Larry would "mop the floor" with Joshua and Fury?
You remember he got schooled by Carl Williams and went life and death with Tim Witherspoon, right?
    I sure do.

I remember well his fight against Mike Tyson which he got KTFO in round 4. The crowd was cheering him loundly while he was dancing around like Ali and throwing his beautiful jabs to Tyson but then boom boom the big straight left -right hands hit him at the chin. I could not believe my eyes that Holmes could get up again after he got caught cleanly by that big right hand. It could kill a horse.
