You sound confident when you say that and I hope you're right.. As much as I want Abraham to beat Pavlik, I just don't know yet.. Mentally, I could easily see both of them winning..

Been on vacation and just caught the Abraham fight.
Man he is beast and will give Pavlik a great fight.
Could go either way of course, but since Pavlik's chin had a dent put in it by Jerome...I predict that Abraham is the man to stop the Pavlickers express by way of a knock out.

I like this fight because both Pavlik and Abraham destroyed Edison Miranda: Pavlik in 7 and Abraham in 4. If they want to really market this fight, it has to be on HBO in Las Vegas with the general public watching. This would make boxing really have the big spotlight on it. Please don't put it on PPV. Who agrees? Plus, it will unify the WBC, WBO, IBF, and the Ring Magazine Middleweight titles. This fight woul be for the lineal and undisputed Middleweight championship of the world.

I prefer 20,000 in Cleveland to 5,000 in LV, no matter if a Vegas fight means higher payment.

If Abraham is as cool as I think he is, he won't be frightened by Pavlik's supporters.

A punch Abraham can be effective with: left hook wider/half hook half uppercut shorter

No, no, polls don't mean ****. And Pavlik is on a whole other level than crude Miranda.

    Nice Article by Ted Sares:

I'd like to add that Abraham's defense is very tight and counters very effectively, so it's still 50/50 if it's going to the cards. Pavlik is willing to take punishment to land his shots just like Margarito, but Abraham's defense is better, his stamina is definitely superior and his chin is superb compared to Cotto - he's never been heart. Pavlik is usually getting hit with a large amount of punches. Abraham takes few. Of course Pavlik throws more to win while Abraham throws the more meaningful ones. So it's a 50/50 fight in every way. And yes, the location of the fight will be very important.

AA will learn that he can't lay on the ropes in the corner and cover up like he does against everyone else against Pavlik. He will learn that Pavlik can take the 'legs out of his arms' if he wants to stay in that high guard. He will learn that his arms are too short against Pavlik. Seriously, his style, clam up and fight 30 seconds a round, won't get him anywhere in the US where this fight WILL BE HELD. :deal In spite of Ted's speculation, the reason that AA came here to fight Miranda was for exposure leading up to the Palvlik/Abraham matchup.

Or Pavlik may learn that his punches aren't hard enough to do **** to Abraham's guard...

Btw, I think it's no good to compare Margarito - Cotto to Pavlik - Abraham...absolute different styles :verysad.

Possibly, but this would go against what former opponents had to say after they were in with Pavlik.
Did I do that? I have said I think the Bhop/Kelly fight will go more Margarito/Cotto than Bhop/Calzaghe but I don't remember saying this about K/A?:huh

Abraham was compared to Cotto only to make my statement that despite Pavlik is as relentless and aggressive as Margarito (different styles, of course), Abraham is no Cotto to run out of gas or get hurt by big punches - and his defence is more effective to block power punches. I'm saying that because IMO punch output is a bit overrated here. Up to the point Margarito hurt a bit tired Cotto, Miguel was dominating. So the punch output can be cut down, only you need the stamina and chin for 12 to do your countering till the last bell.
