I tend to panic and stumble around in odd directions making haphazard decisions only realizing it split seconds too late over and over again.
Used to fight a bit in the amateurs and was never really seriously hurt with a shot to the head. The shot that hurt me the most was a straight right hand to the solar plexus after a feint with the right up-top. I felt like I couldn't breathe. Luckily the round was over a few second afterwards. If that wasn't the case, I probably would've grabbed on and rested for a few seconds. In sparring, I got clipped with an uppercut/left hook combination on the inside that stunned me a little once. I backed off and went back to the jab until my head cleared shortly after.
If you ask this to Sugar Ray Leonard then the answer is I'm going to fight back whenever I get hurt badly.
I took a knee. The guy kept battering me because the coach wouldn't stop it. Same kid who gave me a bleeding nose in sparring.
