Did you know Rocky was a harder puncher than Frank Bruno, Bonecrusher Smith, David Tua, Ike Ibeabuchi, Razor Ruddock and Joshua? He knocked Walcott the **** out like nobody could even dream of!

 

It is pathetic that you have to put a bum like Valuev like an example of anything.

 

There is simply not another fighter who can defeat Marciano. No need for any more threads on him.

 

White people! please stop picking Rocky Marciano to win Mythical fights. It bothers other white people. It's upsetting. Especially when the fighter he's matched against only has about 15 loses. 30 lbs is 30 lbs. It can't be overcome. I also learned that Weaver was much faster than Marciano. Mike Weaver is getting better since he retired

 

I'd go with Marciano on this one. I think he could take other 200+ pounders who were better than Mike Weaver. While it may be a brawl, I see Marciano coming out on top. I think if we had seen Marciano fight Nino Valdez or Cleveland Williams, it would tell us, approximately, how Marciano would likely fare against a Weaver, Shavers, Lyle etc.

 

Mike Weaver could definitely punch and give certain styles problems but at the end of the day he was an excruciatingly slow starter to the point where it cost him fights.

Weaver proved him self a handful against a number of top heavy s in his long career but in all honesty I don't see him beating Marciano. As big a puncher as weaver was he also got himself KO'd to many times .He'd hurt Marciano , probably more than Walcott or Moore did ,he'd rough him up , maybe cut him to. But at some time , later in the fight , Marciano s constant aggression catches up with weaver and hurts him .I see a 12 th round ko for Rock , but he struggles.

 

The rock by late stoppage possibly a chilling one shot deal .great fight .

You're right. I shouldn't be mentioning Valuev as an example of size not meaning everything in context to Weaver / Marciano. Because Weaver is a bum compared to Valuev.

Tua was knocked by Rahman and almost knocked by Ike!
Ike and Rahman could not even punch close to Marciano power output!
Marciano would beat Tua by 13 round TKO because Tua was never tested with 15 rounds!

 

Rocky Marciano wins this fight against Mike Hercules Weaver, the Rock is very relentless, no matter the situation, he would bang arms shoulders, while he came in low and loved to attack the body. Mike has toughness on his side, but The Bigger They Are, The Harder They Fall, a cliche for most but the truth in this one. You can only fight what is in front of you in your respective era,Weaver will withstand a very violent assault as the fight goes on. Mike can hit and will at times hurt The Rock, but cut and bruised Rocky will use his Kryptonite Suzy_Q right hand in round 11 to send a Hercules into dreamland.
