I wanna hear some good ones. What are the worst/most ridiculous excuses a fighter has given after their loss?

    40-pound suit, socks...
I don't really like the "changes made during camp" one either to be honest.

Why don't you kick things off? Which excuse came to mind that inspired you to open this thread?

Wilder and his 40 lb ring walk suit of course.

Hearns trainer saying he lost because he had a leg massage a few hours before his fight against Hagler.

Mosley on 2 different accounts: ducked Mayweather because of wiggly tooth. Asked corner to stop fight vs Manny Pacquiao because of a blister on his foot.

I'm glad he did, I mean it's a subject that's barely been touched upon post the Fury loss and needs to be addressed thoroughly.

Really there should be a 'I hate a certain fighter and have something to say about them that's already be discussed' dump thread.

That came from deluded fans not from AJ or his team themselves. As if the guy who boxed in front of 80-90,000 people on many an occasion is gonna get stage fright and panic. 100% never happened.

Lou Nova saying that he would beat Louis with his special cosmic punch, but after the fight saying that he could not land his cosmic punch because the rotation of the earth had not been correct

The worst excuse in the modern era is not the infamous one from Haye, not even from Wilder, it's from none other than the mighty king of psychobabble bull**** himself, Dr Steelhammer.

Haye's injured toe could well have impacted him physically, it's just the timing and method of revealing it caused him some trouble.

Wilder's Super-African-Heritage suit fatigue is definitely one of the worst excuses ever heard, but if you try REALLY hard, you might imagine some weight causing a little leg fatigue.

But Wlad's excuse for losing all his belts to Fury after a ten year stretch undefeated was that while taking part in a boxing match he didn't remember to 'let his hands go'. If he'd let his hands go he wouldn't have lost. Fury asked Wlad why he didn't let his hands go. Wlad claimed he just didn't choose to. Fury then declared that if Wlad chose not to let his hands go then he chose to lose. And Wlad agreed.

There you have it. Wlad's excuse was that he chose not to punch in a boxing match and so chose to lose all his titles. The worst excuse ever.

This is like a sprinter claiming they lost because they chose not to run fast in the final. But next time they'll chose to run fast and thus be world champion.

Gary Russell Jr - something about being in a spa
Carl Froch - Volcanic ash cloud
Carl Froch - Didn't have crowd support (against Andre Ward)

He said he had an anonymous 'health issue' and has never really spoken more on it other than that. An excuse, but a boring one
