McCall was no where near Tyson of 89/90. Yes, he had a granite chin, but all that means is he takes a bigger beating. I see Tyson winning in about six or seven when McCall or his corner call it a day.
Keep in mind that Buster Douglas beat McCall handily right before the Tyson fight (and Douglas was much heavier that night than in Tokyo), McCall won just 2 rounds. Tyson would've clearly won. That night's Tyson was still much better than Jesse Ferguson or Lionel Butler - two fighters with whom McCall struggled badly.
I do think Tyson could beat McCall. My point is just that I don't think Tyson could knock McCall out.
McCall couldn't have put on a master boxing show like Douglas did. It probably would have ended up being a brawl with Tyson coming out on top.
If we didn’t learn anything else from Tyson vs Lewis ...we learned that Mike Tyson has one helluva beard
Tyson in his first run 1985-1991...had an incredible chin and will to win....that Tyson was always trying to win...even in his 1 loss he almost pulled it out in round 8... The post prison Tyson had an odd time 1995-1999 his old skills were long gone but his power and intimidation bailed him out and his will to win was half what it was...2000/2001 he seemed to regain skills and offense...than another long lay off and the 3 humiliating defeats he had ZERO will to win The 1990 Tyson even the Tokyo one could take anything McCall gave and he wouldnt trouble Tyson..McCall had none of Douglas"s speed of hamd or foot or jab...Tyson stops McCall around 10.
