Interesting fight. I lean towards Winky and his jab and High guard to frustrate Norris. Shane Mosley had ridiculous hand speed like Norris but Winky took that speed away by pumping that right jab all night and not letting Shane set his feet to throw those combos. I like Norris and think think he is somewhat underated because of some the KO losses on his record but prime Winky is all wrong for him. Once Winky committed to that style he was a very tough out. Earlier in his career he was more of a slickster and was more beatable.

    Norris by UD.

I feel Terry's combinations and footwork don't allow Wright to get set.

    Another vote for Norris.

The judges---and we are talking a DKP fighter here---love the quick hands and flurries from guys. Shoeshining. What judges do not like in recent times are the slow and steady with zero flash type guys. And spend a fair amount of time per round in a defensive shell.

Looks like a decision bout all the way and the DKP fighter is going to have his hand raised at the end. Winky would really need to win maybe 9 to 10 rounds clearly/dominate to get a close decision on the cards. And he will not beat this guy by that big of a margin.

Style wise I think Norris may actually win this comfortably if at the top of his game and focused.

Norris by wide decision, maybe even winning 9/10 rounds.

Am I the only one who has reservations about a fight between a guy name Terry and a guy named Winky?

I'm really surprised to see so many folks going for Norris. It's not that he wasn't a great fighter, but stylistically Winky is the type of fighter that can neutralize hand speed. Just look at the 24 rounds he fought against Shane Mosley and how he completely took Shane's speed away with the jab. Those fights weren't even close. Winky was so effective stepping forward with that jab behind the high guard. How is Terry going to throw those combos while backing up? Winky was the stronger and much more durable guy. He wasn't always fun to watch but he completely dominated all time greats with with his style.

I would, but truth be told I don't have a contingency plan if Hulkamania runs wild on me. No idea what I would do in that case.

I think Norris has the speed and skill to make Winky look ordinary. And, Winky would definitely have to respect Norris' power. This isn't an old lightweight moving up. Prime Norris was a phenomenal fighter at 154 for years. Winky was his contemporary, and wanted no part of Norris. It wasn't until Norris was done that anybody started paying any attention to Wright. Norris wins this by clear decision.
