Tommy Morrison vs. Chris Byrd

Good fight......tough to call

 

I don't know about that, but I could totally see Ike beating Tommy's ass worse than he did Byrd's.

 

Morrison has a few moments hear and there and maybe even a scare for Byrd...But Byrds to slick and recovers,,for the majority of the fight he easily outboxes and punishes Morrison...In the late rounds he even starts hurting him ref saves him or his corner stops it late.... Byrd Tko 10

 

:nono Hipp was nothing like those 2 guys... Damiani had some good boxing skills,but his chin was kind of weak, he wasnt really a tough guy not as tough as Hipp but more schooled and a better boxer.

Cooney was a big bomber tall and was pretty skilled...He hung tough with Holmes but other than that never had to show his grit,,,..He either blew guys out,or got kod himself.

Hipp had some skill not world class boxing skills but he could box a some...But he had world class grit and pretty damn good chin..Had lot of kos against lesser opposition but average puncher at best when he moved up in class... I dont know why the comparision..... Other,then neither of them were muscular ,Hipp and Damiani both had a pudgy look although Hipp was kind of fat.(but fought his ass off).....

 

No way Tommy had good speed,and excellent power..But it takes more than that,to cut a prime Byrd off and finish him... Tommy is overrated and actually looked better than he actually was... Byrd was a below average puncher,,but he would find Tommy an easy enough target to get his respect... Too many lesser fighters found him easy to hit.... And even when Byrd was tagged he had a decent enough chin... Morrison was not on Ibeabuchis level...And Byrd beat better fighters than Morrison.
