Never really matured past that point, boxing wise or personality wise it seems. I think alot of vargas problem was he was a boxer who was a fan of Julio cesar Chavez...he wanted too be like Chavez and take 4 to land 1 ..and be that knuckle up warrior ...that was what he felt a Mexican fighter should be ...it screwed his career up but hey who wants to be the champ right?
