Here's the thing, I actually think Patterson doesn't lose this particular match up faced with a big hitter. He may hit the deck once or twice but he survive to eventually drill Ruddock. An overconfident Razor is stopped in 9. What's your opinion on the match up?
Ruddock made too many footwork errors and after Dokes became a headhunter. Patterson by late ko/stoppage.
I agree with the OP. Patterson climbs off the deck to win a decision. I think he would knock Ruddock down as well.
Skill wise hes not in Patterson's league. But his size, and that "smash " would make him a very dangerous opponent for Patterson. Patterson would need to be on his toes. At his very best Patterson stops Ruddock by TKO within 10rds.
Yep I get where your coming from, I'd say Razor was past his best by then but I'd still agree and say Patterson was a lot more skillful than Morrison. People may point out Floyd's flaws but Ruddock had a good few himself and Patterson had the ability to take advantage of them. It s a dangerous fight for Patterson of course, we know Razor s smash could be deadly, I do see him dropping him. But Ruddock had a tendency to go a little crazy when he was in the there and leave himself wide open, plus Patterson had faster hands and could Crack himself.
