Sports streaming group DAZN seeks cash to help secure future

That actually would have made a lot of sense right before UFC agreed to the ESPN partnership.. DAZN had the funding and Dana White had the proven commodity.. Instead they went the bellator route which they were operating at a loss also..

 

It’s coming. Amazon, Netflix, Apple, DAZN, and even Hulu are looking to buy the rights to a conference when many of the contracts come up in 2022-2023.

 

People love to hate Canelo

 

The only way they can reverse the rot is by throwing Canelo (and others) in with big big fights.

You cant justify paying Canelo $35,000,000 per fight fighting the likes of BJS, Andrade etc.

Canelo really pulled their pants down with some of his defences.

 

Canelo didn't fight he likes of BJS and Andrade.
He fought the likes of Rocky Fielding and Krusher Kovalev on dazn.

 

Can Dazn go back to these fighters and tell them "Listen, we have to re-negotiate here". Every jurisdiction has something which allows an entity to get out of an unprofitable contract

 

DAZN should never have paid canelo and ggg so much money for a third fight ... canelo's contract is the most stupid thing to see so far, so canelo fights with who he wants and DAZN cannot tell him who he should fight and the same with Joshua won a lot in the rematch with Ruiz Jr.

 

A nobody and a faded star on his way out that only had like 5 weeks to train since his last fight.

 

I know, I meant going foward in this uncertain economic climate. Canelo has to earn his money now.

 

I am sure they have veto rights as well as the option to pick up broadcasting rights to Canelo's fights. If you control the money you need to control the show.
