Mike Tyson is overrated and it's true he never beat a great heavyweight anywhere near prime (Holmes was at least 6 years past his peak) but his resume is still A LOT better than Wilder's.

If he'd first appeared in 75 instead of 85 I doubt he'd be so talked about as much now but entertaining fighter.

Damn, he angry. But he gone done his research. You gots to do your research in dis game. And you may not like Wilder's resume. And you may say dat to this day Wilder ain't fought more than one hall of famer in Furry and even dat ain't true YET. But you can't say da man wasn't being logistical here! He acks da people who did Tyson fight and wat did they tell you? Dat Tyson lost to two greats and da others had a problem each of dem. So don't be holler'n back if you just be ignorants and ain't gone done your research!

You have a way with words. Do you happen to be a poet by any chance?

I liked the 10 seconds of Michelle Joy Phelps at the end.

The guys Tyson fought in the 1980s were fundamentally better than Wilder and would have cleaned his clock including an older Larry Holmes. The guy is full of ****.

If Wilder faced old Tyson and he was defeated it would be a shame.

Unforgiven … You are an idiota.Tyson was better than every version Larry Holmes.Basically Tyson was far better against the common opponents.
Not to mention Tyson was UNDISPUTED world champion and Holmes never.
Maybe Holmes wasn't in prime in 1988 but Tyson destroyed a fighter -in the first round- who beat an unbeaten Holmes and
won the rematch also. In 1985 Holmes wasn't far away from his prime and he lost to an easy first round ko Tyson victim
    Spinks..
All in all **** you !

Holmes was YEARS past his best when he faced Tyson. Everyone knows it. You know it too.
It's nothing to be angry about.

I'm pleasantly surprised that he seems to know a fair bit about fights that took place when he was just a little kid. And the points he makes are fair.

I half wondered whether he'd be, ahem, strong enough to point that high-powered perception at himself, or maybe he's saying this in a tongue in cheek/self aware fashion.

I could quote from here to oblivion regarding Tyson vs. Wilder opponents but it's pointless.

Also, it should be noted that if you go by the criteria used today, and some of the guys that have been subsequently allowed into the HOF, there are at least 10 guys on Tyson's resume that are at least near HOF level. The 80's was solid overall, there but for the fact that Tyson destroyed everyone and ruled with an iron (pun intended) undisputed fist. Think about how many people on Tyson's resume are still known by name and are often talked about to this very day, and you can talk about a lot of their performances beyond Tyson, and then think about the fact that they are footnotes vs. Tyson. This is 35+ years later. Then think about the guys on Wilder's resume. Who's gonna remember any of these guys other than Fury? Wilder is an absolute moron and shouldn't talk.

I still think he should deserve credit for that win because Holmes was only knocked out by Tyson not anyone else, he also beat a prime Ray Mercer who gave Lewis one of his toughest fights ever when he was past his prime. He was also competitive with Holyfield for 12 rounds.
