If they were smart, they could put one or both Zhangs on the undercard.

I continue to hope that lack of interest and profit will kill this. fury has alreay won this fight twice. There is no point. If he can't get Joshua, I would rather see Whyte than this.

They aren’t going to fight in China. It’s going to be at Staples Center or MGM in Vegas where they can charge the most money.

A bit like Joshua and Ruiz II and Saudi's sportwashing, and Groves Smith being held there for absolutely no reason other than £$ and image

"Fury is more popular than Joshua at the moment in the UK" hahahahh. That was the dumbest thing I have read in a while. congrats. Fury cannot even go back and fight in the UK because HE TOOK STEROIDS and he never dealt with it there. That's why he came to fight in the states. The Wallin fight had a whopping 4k fight fans in the stands hahahah. If they have the AJ vs Pulev fight in the UK with fans, it will sell out a soccer stadium with over 80k fans and the PPV will be over a million. Hate AJ all you want, but don't try and twist the facts.

After Wilder 2, Fury's popularity has grown immensely in the UK, probably the US too

Fury would sell as many tickets as AJ in the UK I belive now

I don't hate Joshua. I'm a big fan of his as I am of all the British fighters. Neither do I understand this passive agressiveness in your post. Fury not being able to fight in the UK has nowt to do with his popularity amongst the British public. Fury fought Wallin in Vegas not in the UK also I made the claim based on his win over Wilder.

Soccer stadium? I assume that you're American? I'm sorry if I offended you, since you made it abundantly clear that you know more of the British support than I myself, a Brit do.

Here in Korea the coronavirus is a lot more subdued than in the U.K./States. China is similar. 4-5 month from now it may be very much contained in China.

If this fight took place in Shanghai or the north east, and I was in my break from work, I reckon I'd try to attend it. Shanghai's a fairly short flight.

Heavyweight title fight in China would be huge in the mainstream media there. The potential to work it and build from it is massive. Until people have spent time in East Asia, it's sometimes hard to appreciate the vast population. Shandong Province which is closest to Korea has 100 million with another 25 million in Shanghai which is in driving distance from it.

Fury/Wilder are a couple of attention grabbing boxers who would be easy to market anywhere in Asia.

Lots of the above such as the Otto fight are not current,i personally do not think he has the same following but there is no doubt since Wilder 2 he has a massive amount of support that previously was not there
So whilst it may be a stretch, its not dumb to consider

I certainly wouldn't say Fury is more popular here in the UK but it's an awful lot closer than you're making it out to be. Fury's first fight with Wilder which was laden with drama, his whole comeback story and putting a beating on Wilder in the rematch (whilst Ruiz-AJ II was quite boring) has really helped close the gap.

I knew about Fury years ago before he beat Wlad because he was on a free Brit TV channel called channel 5, it`s a smaller channel than the four main terestrial channels but could afford to buy the rights to Fury`s fights back then because nobody was interrested in him, I knew about Wilder because I`m a fight fan, the first thing I saw about Wilder was his early fights on youtube, maybe a lot of Chinese fans know who these two are through youtube vids, I`d have to see the views their vids get in China though.
