Holmes was the quality of the 2 but Sanders had fast hands and power and unlike anyone Holmes fought other than Tyson.....Larry was also KO'd 2X at the end of his amateur career by Nick Wells who was a 5'11 southpaw so Sanders should not be counted out especially if he is taken lightly like he was for WK

Holmes slices him apart. TKO in 10 at the most.

So you're going to use an old fat Holmes as an example ? You can't be serious

Holmes should outclass him but he struggled with southpaws so this would be more competitive that people realize. Regardless Holmes takes it. The gap in skills is too much. wouldn't even be suprised if he stopped Sanders

Prime Larry Holmes and Prime Corrie Sanders didn't have any common opponents. Probably because the are 1 or 2 generations apart.

Sanders is a murderous puncher but lets not act like he's better than Lennox Lewis just because he beat Wladimir LOL. Sanders is a southpaw and that could cause issues for Holmes but a prime Holmes had good punch resistance and would thoroughly outbox Sanders.

Holmes survives the early Sanders storm and ends up out boxing him in a close fight

Sanders power came from his hand speed, timing, and accuracy ... But a prime Holmes is a class above Sanders in terms of boxing ability ... And he should durability in his prime .... Holmes in a close decision

Sanders would ice Holmes with a straight left within 5 rounds.

he would get revenge for Coetzee who Holmes ducked because of “apartheid” . Something which bonehead Holmes didnt even understand, was probably just told by don king or al sharpton as a reason to dodge the fight and virtue signal about

So then let's not talk about the one common opponent that they did have  Beating Holmes is supposed to be a feather in Tyson's cap. Holmes fought Card 4 fights after Tyson.

    Was he prime? No.

    Is it worth mentioning? Yes.
