Just like the did vs. Bowe and Lewis? Sure, sure. Vitali was more mobile than either and very active. Vitali had a lower guard for his body, using his legs, and height with some head movement for the defense above his shoulders. He also had a counter punch. A reason he was so hard to out box.

I never saw Vitali have an issue with any body shot and this included Briggs who landed a good one.

ps , I had Holy winning the rematch by a hair and thought he could have nicked the Valeuv fight when he was 44 years of age.

If he could achieve those feats , It leads me to believe he could have beaten Vitali at his absolute best.

 

Holyfield also lost to plenty of lesser men. A cuts stoppage and a torn shoulder injury is the primary reason why Vital lost, otherwise we could be talking about an un-defeated fighters. Holyfield just didn't look good vs bigger fighters.

It's clear who did better vs Lewis and Byrd. Its also clear who did better vs Donald, and Bean.

 

Oh he listed the fighters. The way he wrote it, Holyfield never lost to Bowe. 5-2 on fair scorecards would have been the truth.

Now Dino also says Holyfield beat Lewis the re-match. He can't score a fight. Lewis there more punches, landed more punches and landed for greater accuracy.

When the bell sounded to end the fight, Lewis raised his hands. Holyfield did not. That's a sure sign of a fighter who knew he lost. 8-4, 7-4-1, or 7-5 are fine scores.

He beat many Heavyweights who were better than Larry Donald. I already told you Holyfield vs Donald isn’t a fight I consider when we are discussing PEAK Holyfield because he’s clearly past his prime vs Donald.

But Heavyweights who I believe were better than Donald at the time Holyfield beat them.

Bowe (who gave Donald a 1 sided beating)
Michael Dokes
Alex Stewart (the unbeaten version Holy beat I’d say is 50-50 against Donald)
Foreman (he’d walk Thru Donald’s pity pats)
Douglas
Holmes (way to clever for Donald)
Moorer (Donald has no power Moorer would walk thru him)

As I’ve said over and over AFTER the 2nd Moorer fight I stop even entertaining the thought of comparing that version of Holyfield vs anybody else in a these mythical matchups because at that point he’s clearly well past his prime.

It’s like saying “Ali lost to Leon Spinks” Sure he won the rematch, but big deal he was clearly already past his prime. The prime version never even would’ve had a competitive fight vs Spinks

Yes Mercer lost to Ferguson while being grossly out of shape. When In shape he fought a near dead even fight with Lewis. Foreman was NOT the same guy vs Schulz or Morrison that he was vs Holyfield in ‘91. AGAIN you keep using the worst possible versions of each fighter to make your points. Everyone that has a pick seems too be 100% certain with their pick, the truth is, the is a 50/50 fight where we can only imagine it in our heads, they both have attributes which would severely trouble the other, Holyfield it’s his speed and movement and Vitali with his height reach and strength and power, I cannot make a certain pick, I’m trying to make one as I type, I’d probably make it 50.11111/49.99999 in favour of Holyfield in a very close decision
