I got Mercer. Mercer had a great jab and an iron chin. Then again, Brewster had a brutal left hook. Would be a great scrap.

Providing both come in in shape, this is a great war. I think Mercer's ring generalship and better jab lets him win more rounds, but Brewster's old school Galento-esque style is gonna give most guys who stand in front of him issues.
Another vote for Ray in a tough, close one. Both can handle a brawl, but think Mercer would be a little better if a boxing match breaks out.
Mercer. Probably looks similar to Mercer - Cooper or Mercer - Ferguson 2, as both guys can really soak up punishment and neither are hard to find. The difference being for me, Mercer is just a touch better. Ray would have to be in top shape though.
Mercer at his best wins better boxing skills and his jab would be the difference. Mercer by close UD.
Brewster was a winner. Mercer was a loser. Im guessing Brewster finds a way to barely edge Mercer or even stop him in a brutal fight.
I'll go with Brewster by a close decision in an upset. Brewster was always in shape where as Ray could get lazy at times.
