I know I already said this, but wins over Porter or Thurman would have been better than a win over Khan.

If Floyd beat Canelo with no catchweight at 154 in 2013, then beat Porter and Thurman in 2014, then Pacquiao in 2015, you'd have people calling him the GOAT.

You all sound stupid af trying to compare Maidana and Khan
1st off did anybody actually WATCH the fight they had together outside of 2/3 good rounds Khan got systematically beaten down and was holding on for dear life to survive to bring up that fight is embarrassing.

2nd in 2013 leading up to the fight Khan was coming off going life and death with Julio Diaz and was unranked at 147, meanwhile Maidana had a top 3 win at Welter that year snatching the 0 of Broner and taking his WBA title so unranked fighter coming of a struggle vs another unranked fighter or a champion coming of winning his title over an unbeaten champ.

Next career wise Maidana is a former WBA Jr Welter Champ and WBA Welter Champ, Khan was a WBA Jr Welter Champ and a IBF Jr welter Champ
Both are 35-5 Khan has been ko'd by Prescott,Garcia,Crawford,Canelo, and a debatable loss to Peterson meanwhile Maidana has losses to Mayweather in the Rematch and Alexander, and debatable losses to Kotelnic, Khan and Mayweather in fight I Kotelnic was a split decision that he Maidana won a card, a UD to Khan who got saved by a point deduction and 1st round knock down without just the deduction Khan would have lost and a majority draw vs Mayweather historically Maidana is greater than Khan and beating him was and still is a better win.

And lastly regarding the poll Mayweather put up a poll on his site that most ppl don't even know about I voted on 3 polls and none of them was on the Mayweather promo website, if you look into it every major publication put up the same poll the one on Mayweather's website got maybe 100k votes, polls on ESPN, Yahoo, and sites like that had over a million votes and the only poll that Khan won was one so pretty much what you saying is the 100k people who voted on Mayweather's website is a more accurate depiction of what the fans wanted than the millions of people of voted on MAJOR world wide publications like ESPN or BBC sports.

He’s had enough big fights in the US for boxing fans to know his name. Some of his fights against Maidana and Lamont Peterson have been exciting. If gets 600,000 PPV buys vs Canelo then he would easily get 1 Million PPV buys vs Mayweather. Mayweather being the bigger PPV star than Canelo, therefore it is obvious he would get much more PPV buys fighting Floyd Mayweather

Khan beat Maidana fair and square. It wasn’t even regarded as a controversial decision after the fight. After even Maidana and his camp didn’t complain about the decision. Khan even had a knockdown in the first round against Maidana. Khan won most of the rounds vs Maidana. Khan won that fight fair and square

You obviously have a high opinion and high regard for Amir King Khan. Unfortunately that high Opinion and regard is not shared by me and lot of others who consider him as Amir Queen Khan. If the man had any self respect he would sign up to fight “Special K” Kell Brook but he or she seems reluctant or afraid to fight Kell. It’s one of the reasons amongst others he/she is regarded with disdain. However as they say to each their own. You see qualities in him we see defects in her. I think her high profile Knockout losses and the number of times she has been floored at all weights he/she has fought in prove my point.

Mayweather would have embarrassed Khan, it would have been funny to watch but I'm glad Khan never got that payday, he didn't deserve it, he talked about himself like he was in the same bracket as Pacquiao and Mayweather and the truth is he was average.

Khan never won a world title at Welterweight and hasn't held a world title since 2011.

I need to repeat that.. HASNT HELD A WORLD TITLE SIMCE 2011. Nearly a decade without a world title and some people talk about him like he is elite.

Khan was never elite, never great, he was an average world champion.

Malinaggi was nowhere near Floyd`s level and couldn`t punch, he really wasn`t that good at all, Hatton out-classed him with ease, I don`t get it.

I’m not even an Amir Khan fan. I’m a neutral boxing fan who thinks Khan had the style and attributes to give Floyd problems. That same opinion is shared by many boxing fans, pundits and former boxers around the world. It’s just an opinion

The Garcia trained Maidana was clearly improved over the version that Khan fought.

Mayweather would have made Khan look silly, Khan was fast, but he was also a shoe shiner who lacked any pop. The Hunter trained Khan was worse than the Roach Khan too imo, sat on the back foot far too much.

Dude that fight was scored 114-111/113-111, Khan got a knocked down in the first round them got dominated after 3 if not for a point deduction even with the knockdown Khan would have lose or at best gotten a draw stop it. Let's be real about these fights in the championship rounds 10-12 Khan was holding on for dear life getting his a$$ beat.

I think you misread my comment that's exactly what I'm SAYING ESPN, Yahoo, BBC sports, Fox sports, etc all major publications put up the same poll and overwhelming only Maidana won them all, Khan literally only won one that one he did win had least amount of votes and Eason the least known site

Khan won by unanimous decision. He won most of the earlier rounds. I cannot even believe you’re actually trying to tell me that Maidana won that fight. All the pundits I know had Khan winning. Even all the judges had Khan winning the fight. The decision wasn’t even considered controversial at all. Even when the final bell rang Maidana had his head hanging down as if he knew he had lost the fight. Khan won the Maidana fight no argument
