In the Maidana vs Khan fight I just removed the knockdown in maidana’s favour and the elbow. You were complaining the knockdown and the elbow doesn’t count so I given you the benefit of the doubt. Me removing the knockdown is being completely generous to you and Khan still wins on split decision if we donate 2 extra points to Maidana. If we only remove the elbow Khan and nothing else Khan wins on majority decision.

The Kotelnik fight with Maidana was close but was no way close with Khan. Khan absolutely schooled Kotelnik. Kotelnik had zero arguments he beat Khan. That’s the difference.

Devon Alexander also clearly beat Maidana and Khan schooled Devon Alexander.

Khan also won Mayweather’s own poll.

Also if we’re putting revenue into the argument then Khan would have got a million PPV fighting Mayweather easy. He also would have got another million PPV buys in the UK. Khan vs Mayweather also would have got some good TV deals in the Middle East as Khan is a name in the Middle East. In terms of overall revenue and global appeal the Khan vs mayweather fight would have been much bigger

    Ha!

It’s this simple: Despite his flaws, Amir Khan is a world class fighter.

As you’re aware, there’s many different levels to boxing.

    Conor McGregor isn’t a boxer.

He’d never had a professional fight.

He was absolutely exhausted against Floyd.

His body wasn’t used to the pace or the number of rounds.

He’d have to dedicate his life to the sport and have a lot of fights, before he could even think about fighting at a reasonably high level.

I’m sure you’re just trolling me for a joke.

Conor would never beat Amir Khan in a boxing ring.

There’s domestic and European level fighters who’d be able to beat McGregor in a boxing ring.

    Have the day off.

    luke keeker smashes conor
just like john murray would have smashed khan at lightweight
as your aware khan skipped domestic level and european as he was to vunerable and would have been found out early on

Amir Khan is a proven world class fighter.

    He didn’t skip domestic level.

I was a fan of John Murray’s. I think Khan would have been too fast for him though.

The year doesn't matter because no version of Khan would rise to the occasion of being truly competitive with Floyd.

As has been stated, he might get a couple rounds based on Floyd measuring him, meaning Floyd more so giving him rounds than Khan taking them.

I think the year is significant.

Floyd was at the end of his career with hand issues.

I don’t think Khan would have posed too many issues for the version of Floyd who beat Hatton in 2007. But around the time he fought Maidana and Berto, I think he would have done.

Floyd always had hand issues and did not affect his performances like Khan always had glass jaw issues and defective ring IQ/ring generalship which always affected his performances!

As for Khan and John Murray we don’t really know because they did not fight. I have always felt Kell Brook would stop Khan but unless and until Khan puts on his big boy pants we won’t know for sure either way.

There’s a reason he retired against Berto and then fought an MMA fighter to reach 50-0.

I watched Murray’s career. I was a big fan. But he took too many shots and Khan’s hand speed would have caused him huge issues.

I’ve always thought the same regarding Brook. And I don’t think we’ll see the fight now. If Khan lost, it would scar him for the rest of his life.

Any version of Kell Brook stops any version of Khan for the simple reason that Khan can’t take a punch and good fighters get to his chin.

I think it’s his chin issues that are more relevant combined with him being not very intelligent in or out of the ring.

Khan didn`t throw as many shots as Maidana did and when he did he was easier to counter.
