Vitali's game is not as dynamic but much more seamless.

Head to head, he would dominate Jack.

Are these body shots you keep talking about the straight punches he speared into Kirk Johnson? If so , those hits were thrown from mid-range , not up close.
A good body puncher will use hooks to get at sensitive area's behind and under an opponents elbow.
Against who has Vitali hit with uppercuts and body shots up close? Everybody wants to know?

I do not see any infighting in this video. Are you sure you understand the meaning of infighting? this goes back to the other thread.

Hmm? after watching that video and Vitali's hand speed I think Dempsey would explode a hook into Vitali's jaw in the first round and wobble him and Jack's a helluva lot better finisher than Corrie Sanders.

BS. Watch the uppercut on Williams or the body shot on Krik Johnson. It's there, you can see it. If you can't see it, I can tell you the time mark. Do we have a deal?

Vitali is not the type to clinch, and uppercut, that's fouling. Few clinch less. He's in there to land punches. If Vitali wanted to, he could bull the much smaller Holyfield around the ring. This is a limited clip by the way Vitali used body shots to wear down Sanders for example.

LOL, Vitali isn't a slow walking punching bag with no defense. He's hard to hit. If Flynn could KO Dempsey in one round....A skilless guy like Firpo floor him twice, Brennan have him in trouble, Tunney floor him twice lord knows what a legitimated skilled puncher would do to him. Its a mis-match Reinhardt. If you want an article on a pro boxer breaking down Dempsey on film....I could give you that. It's burtal, and he's not wrong.

Yeah Dempsey had fast hand and power. No issues there. That is not what I'm talking about.

Tunney was very skilled, far more than Vitali

Yet, Jack never beat anyone near as good head to head as Vit. He beat a bunch of slobs, small guys and hype jobs.

That is a mid-range uppercut. One last time, there is no infighting in this clip..Like most big men, Vitali just has no idea at all how to fight on the inside.

Vitali would have beaten Dempsey though in my opinion. He would be able to dictate the pace from the outside. His size, reach and ability to fight like a big man would probably be too much for Jack to overcome in my opinion, especially in a 12 rounder.

What't wrong with a mid range uppercut? You didn't comment on how he mixed in a body punch to finish Johnson. When you are 6'7 1/2" tall, move like he does, have a range advantage * Vitali has HBO's record on reach measured from the pit of the arm to the fist *, and a keen understanding of distance where you can land and the other guy can not, why opt to in-fight? Answer that question.

Until then I showed you can land the uppercut and body shots with good results. We agree he would have beaten Dempsey. When I watch Dempsey on film, he's too easy to hit.

I would not use the word far. Tunney more skilled than many hall of fame heavies, however Vitali has oh about 7 inches in height, 50 pounds weight, 4" in reach, way more power, and a more proven chin.

Roberto Duran has way more talent than Bob Foster, what does that mean if he's giving up huge numbers like the above?

I'd say Dempey was a much, much better fighter, P4P.
Head to head, I think Vitali wins.

How to put this: Vitali was the more technically sound boxer, Dempsey was the better fighter and had more versatility.

Vitali’s technique was horrible. On the other hand, his brother was a fine technician.

Size problem ? Dempsey beat the nearly Vitali Klitschko sized Willard. without problem.
But maybe Vitali had size problem with the 37 years old overweight Lennox who destroyed his face.
Otherwise i think Vitali klitschko never beat a 6'4"+ fighter for the World champion title. Lewis was his
tallest w. c. title fight opponent and he lost. I think Vitali had problem with the opponent's size.
