When the young boy asked Achilles in Troy he heard that he couldn't be killed, Achilles replied saying,
"I wouldn't bother with the shield then would I."

Of course the potential is there for Jackson to ko Hagler. Unlikely it would happen though.

Jackson could knock heavyweights out if he caught them clean.

    The key word was 'could.'

There is no one who can't be hurt in boxing.

But McCallum did survive. He didn't even go down. Chances are if Hagler gets tagged like that, he's going to survive too.

I don't discount anything happening in boxing. Even the greatest of fighters can be upset by a much lesser fighter on a given night. All it takes is one lucky punch.

So yeah it's possible Jackson KOs him. But all things considered, given Hagler's proven durability against a number of dangerous bangers over a long career, I think it's unlikely.

In an actual fight there is no way Jackson would knock out Hagler. Hagler would have to close his eyes and let Jackson hit him to get put out.

Jackson wouldn't have a hope in ****ing hell of knocking Hagler out in a fight.

Jackson landed his best shots repeatedly on Mike McCallum and Gerlad McClellan and didn't floor them let alone stop them so there's nothing to suggest he would KO the iron chinned Hagler. I believe Hagler would get hurt a few times against Jackson but like McCallum he weathers the storm, takes control and stops Jackson.

The most rational answer is anyone could be KO'ed .. the fact that he not only was never "seriously" knocked down or even appeared to visibly despite fighting a torn of murderous punchers and unlike say a Jones rarely being hit says a ton about his chin and ability to absorb punishment ..

No middleweight could ever knock out Hagler, not even SRR and Monzon, who rank higher. But I don't even think Julian could win a decision. He might hurt Marv more badly than anyone before, but would probably gas out, and get stopped. This is a logical outcome since lesser fighter like Mike McCallum and Gerald McClellan (still fine fighters) before the fight was even half over. Not to mention, Hagler was tougher than either of them.
